I'm getting one for Christmas (and I'm a 62 year old photographer!!). My friend has already 3D printed me a hand-cranked viewer so I can just print out the whole roll and view 70 or so images on the viewer. I'm so excited about a kids toy.

I recently picked one up. The pictures are so gritty, contrasty, dark. I love it. There is receipt paper out there that doesn't fade as fast. Bonus: you can use it to make cyanotypes!

@andrea5101 I think i'ts possible. If the camera has a flash. As a matter of fact, I'll give it a try right now. Wait a min. Ok so you can take pictures in the evening. But there definitely needs to be a light source present. The pictures will be spooky dark though

I found one of these at Walmart for $30, i had never seen one so i grabbed it and all 5 boxes of paper they had! 😂 i thought i may have been duped out of $50 but i was blown away!! Every shot looks freaking awesome! Much cheaper to play with than an Instax! ❤

Well, you can do a stop motion effect. You don't have to tear the sheets. These cameras also video.

Yes, but all the cameras I've seen also save to an SD card.

if you keep the picture on the camera (or save it to a computer ect), then put it back on the camera, you can just reprint the image at a later date if the original fades... currently its less than 2 cents to print.... totally incredible.

It all depends on the paper used, the better one can last many years. A year ago I found receipts from '96 and they are still fully visible and saturated :)

What i did with my daughter's printed pictures, i top it with a clear masking tape to serve as a protective film to make it last longer
