Forgot to add...my dad worked on weekends as part-time porter at the old Mill (on Mill RIver). He used to take me to work with him. While he worked, I remember plunking my tiny fingers on someone's typewriter. I attended the Polish Church. During winter months, I attended basketball games and Sat night square dances at the Town Hall. Also, Drums Corps rehearsasls in the Town Hall. I rode my bike over every inch of the town. Wonderful memories. Btw, I was known as Stella Kugler back then.

Wow...Everything brought back so many memories. I attended the schools. We were all furious when Smith Academy was torn down. My uncle owned the Hatfield barn and Hatfield Club (mansion). During summer break, all of us kids worked on tobacco...in the fields and barns. We worked hard but loved it. Where are the pics of our Hatfield Jr. Drum Corps which won trophies and individual medals? (I still have my fife and fifing medals). I know there are pics in the local library. Special thanks and kudos to Henry Kulesza.
