My wife and I were in there and left about 45 minutes before you guys got in there the day you found him. You couldn’t see any buzzards from the truck stop ,but when we pulled up to the cell tower there was about 15 that was in that old dead tree beside the water tower and probably 20 more circling that holler. We started down into the holler and made it to within about 200 feet of where you found him. My wife spooked and said she just didn’t have a good feeling about it and she wanted to go home. You could barely smell the dead smell about a quarter of the way down into it, but by the time we got halfway down it was getting stronger. I told her, we would go back home and I was going to go back the next morning and check that holler out good. We hadn’t no more got back home, when my mom sent the live stream video of you guys finding him. Congratulations, you guys worked hard to find him.

Bassboomer the KSP Commissioner said they had troopers all in that area searching for Mr Couch all morning, one news organization just quoted him as saying there were helicopters, drones and civilians helping in the search. Sir when you and your wife was there how many KSP Troopers did you have to squeeze by to get down that hollow or even on the hill to the tower? How many other non law enforcement civilian's did you see?

I was upset the Sheriff stated Troopers and McCoy found Couch . No The McCoys found Couch . Yes they were there because they let Troopers know they would be there after someone spotted them there day before ! They did though however stated they will get the reward money ! So I was pleased ! Thank you two !

I have PTSD and depression, panic attacks, anxiety. I wasn’t in the Armed Forces but I was 3 years old and fighting for my life against a wicked stepmother😈who physically and mentally abused me to the point that once the abuse was finally found out about I spent a week in the hospital for dehydration and malnutrition. Severe bruising and my arm had been broken for 3 weeks before they found that out. Thanks for acknowledging that some people have mental problems for many different reasons. I also want to thank you both for your awesome work in finding Mr. Couch and bringing peace for the community. I live about an hour south in East Tennessee Exit 134 on I-75 home of the big green dragon 🐉 that can be seen from the interstate.

I don’t think most people can see the destruction that family members, and the people close to us are capable of doing. I have every one of the symptoms that you named. Hang in there. This is real life, this stuff this really happens in life. Yes I feel sorry for everyone involved but this happened and it happened because of Mr Couch's decisions. This is the path he chose to take. If you want to be upset at someone be upset at Mr. Couch for shooting five innocent people, some who will never be the same again. Some of the statements are so silly it would be like me complaining or wanting to sue someone because Mr Couch decided to contaminated our Daniel Boone National Forest with his remains, maybe there are hikers who are upset over that, or contaminated water in the streams from runoff, lets not augur over trivial stuff, stop insulting each other, why does everything have to be an argument? We live in Northwest Indiana and we drove down to Jellico TN on Monday September 16. We drove right passed Exit 49 twice on Monday. After our meeting in Jellico, we drove back to Berea KY exit 76 to stay in our hotel room until we headed back to our house on Tuesday morning. my 1st husband took his life. no one understands unless they've been there. after he died I wanted too also. thank God I didn't. I'm married now 25 years. have a wonderful son working on his master's degree. through all of this it's reached alot of people. I'm like you I believe things happen for a reason. I think y'all would be good working with people that are having issues. when I was suicidal I hadn't even noticed the season changing so when Fred mentioned the Beautiful day and Mr couch could have been fishing it brought back a meormy for me that I hadn't noticed the season changing from winter to spring. now everywhere I go I always notice the Beautiful grass. That is sweet of you to say that, Shelia is true blue, good old fashion hillbilly girl, Shelia is my life, I wouldn't be able to breath without her, I rather people brag on Shelia as me, she solved this case, she found him. Granted I may had first eyes on him but it was her nose and the good Lord who guided me in his direction. I can't smell anything. And poor thing had to endure that smell with each breath trying to horn in on its location, imagine that? That is why I got a little ill about who found him, my beautiful wife using her nose found him. At crimes scenes we (Cops) always use mint shave or smoke a cigar to cover the odor, my little wife sacrificed herself and smelled that odor willing. She is my life.

That’s just wild. The perspective is interesting! People are awful quick to crap on the troopers and those searching but I can’t imagine the struggle they had with all the tips and concern for the public out beyond this point. We love all Military and Law Enforcement where would we be without them, They all did exceptional, God was in charge of this mission, God knew Mr. Couch's family needed closure, God knew the beautiful people of that community needed some rest and relief from not know if he was going to do something else, and God knew Shelia and I had been praying for help as to how to repay Social Security, God solved all three.
