Gauntlet bases are good Horde bases Trott. Using hatches to block their path along the way is a good way to stall them as hatches are weaker than other blocks but easy to repair so Zombies still try go through them, but as they are half height you can still shoot over them. You just need to have the a roof of some sort to stop them jumping over the hatches & instead breaking through them.

Ross, if you're going to melee use a legit melee weapon. The game doesn't consider Axes to be melee weapons. So, they are slower and have no skills to back them up. This is vanilla info, the mod may have skills that augment axes as melee weapons. But, if you are going to melee consider a club, blades, knuckles, stun baton, or sledge hammer. This mod has the cool 'Use to get better with something' mechanic.

@@MH-hu5pi The thing is, in the vanilla game mode you can just drive a car even through bloodmoon horde nights but Darkness Falls makes it so that the moment it hits the night time of a bloodmoon, your car just stops working until the next day. So in a way, you need to hole up and defend yourself somewhere for horde nights.

Don't play the game so I don't know all the best strats, but building a fort with a single ramp leading in sounds like a good idea. Helm's Deeping zombies seems like it'd be an effective way of dealing with them, not to mention visually satisfying.
