Interesting, I have been playing Serenity very differently after some experimentation and found a pretty nasty burst combo. Dots make this combo do much less damage, not sure why. Happy to discuss if anyone is interested.

Getting back into Swtor again and I’m wondering if you think it’s worth playing this over deception for PvP at max lvl and while leveling up?

If you're solo, Deception might be a better pick. If you play with a heal/tank, Hatred does great dps. Try it out, both are fun imo

Leveling up, both are great cause of stealth. Hatred has better aoe but Deception can one shot trash and get recklessness resets. Both nice tbh

Personally don't like it, but I know people who are using it and doing well with it, so give it a try and see if it works for you

Yeah eventually I can make a Serenity Shadow guide as well. Until then, you can use this to translate the abilities from assassin to shadow terms: parsely.io/parser/abilities/assassin

After playing Fury Mara, Leth OP and Pyro PT(this one particularly badly) it's nutty how easily you die, even in PvE as hatred. Too bad coz its a very fun rotation to me. Like a melee affliction warlock from WoW.

Yeah not sure why Hatred as a melee dot class does not have any significant damage reduction but Madness, as a ranged class, gets 15% permanent dr

@@ivano1337 Even it's self-healing is very lackluster. Taking the AoE heal slash does barely anything to help.

Yeah that one would need to be buffed to heal for 30% HP or something to even be useful

​@@ivano1337hatred needs something like fury mara defensives that can last for 30 seconds if attacked. And some healing from all dmg dealt from dots, so u can actually stay in the teamfight.

Hatred guide: Step 1: Switch back to deception ... No, I actually respect what this class can do. You can clean enemy team on objective if they are not smart enough to clean you first. PS: Don't be beta assassin, use force cloak offensively only! :P

@@ivano1337 day 1 of asking for darkness guide 😉 but actually my only question is in regards to gearing. Full tank? Full damage? A mix? Other guides all say something different.

​@@noahlucas9151 Im not skilled as Ivano and asked, but i asked yesterday some experienced darkness main. Skank darkness probably not possible, only full tank. Tbh deception and hatred would be far better for dmg anyway. Its not the situation like on juggs. From my experience as pvp player, darkness is excelent at holding warzone objectives, but just for pvp fighting alone its propably worst class. In arenas im starting to consider it trollpick, cause team with darkness is loosing hard nearly everytime. (I dont mean to offend darkness players, its just what i saw in few hundred matches in recent patches.)

@@quividetomnia thanks for the response! I play deception but I enjoyed darkness a lot leveling to 80 so was hoping I could play it in pvp with an emphasis on keeping healers alive. Is full tank darkness worth it or should I just go jug?

​​​​​@@noahlucas9151I always recommend players to play class they like the most and enjoy the most regardless of current meta/tier list. If you enjoy the class (f.e. darkness) and become good at it, you can still be useful to your team in pvp and contribute a lot to victory. Playing higher tier classes just gives you (and your team) small (or big) advantage to achieve victory. Currently i would confidently say that all 3 jugg specs (imm, rage, veng) outperform darkness sin. And I hear other (and better) pvp players sharing this point of view as well. (btw I main deception and alt fury mara)
