Have you ever considered how deeply intertwined the heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary is with the Sacred Heart of her Son, Jesus Christ? Reflecting on the profound union between their hearts, we can begin to understand the intensity of Mary's love for God and her equally profound hatred for sin. This unity of hearts and spirits provides a powerful lens through which we can view our own relationship with God and our stance against sin.
Today’s quote speaks to the singular heart and spirit shared by Mary and Jesus. This intimate unity means that Mary's love for God and hatred for sin mirror those of Christ Himself. Just as Christ possesses an infinite hatred for sin, so too does Mary. Her immaculate heart, filled with an immense love for God, holds a hatred for sin that is unparalleled, even by the angels and saints. Mary's love for God is beyond human comprehension. Her immaculate heart beats in perfect harmony with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, embodying His divine love and sharing in His divine mission.
“O Most Holy Virgin, since thou hast but one Immaculate heart and one spirit, with thy divine son’s Most Sacred Heart and since thou hast no other sentiments save His, thou dost love what He loves, and thou dost hate what He hates. Hence, as Christ has an infinite hatred for sin, thou also dost hate it beyond all thought and words. Thy hatred for the infernal monster is equal to the love thou has for God. O Blessed Mother, thy love of thy heart for God is infinitely greater than that of all the hearts of the angels and saints. Consequently, there is in thy heart more hatred against God’s enemy, sin, than in the hearts of all Heaven’s citizens. Make us sharers, O Mary, in this love and hatred so that we may love our Creator and Savior as thou hast loved Him, and that we may hate sin as thou hast hated it.”
How do we, as followers of Christ, align our hearts with Mary's immaculate heart? One way is to foster a deep love for God and a sincere hatred for sin. This involves a conscious effort to love what God loves and hate what He hates. By doing so, we participate in Mary's spiritual union with Jesus.
Mary, who loved God perfectly and hated sin absolutely, is always ready to help us grow in these virtues. "Make us sharers, O Mary, in this love and hatred so that we may love our Creator and Savior as thou hast loved Him, and that we may hate sin as thou hast hated it." By asking for her intercession, we invite her to guide us on our spiritual journey, helping us to cultivate a heart that loves God fully and rejects sin completely.

I thought we were all children of our Blessed Mother…You make send that if we join the child of Mary’s group that is the only way to be come a child of Our Blessed Mother…I am 81 and I have been a child of Mary all my life, God Bless you young man

I love your extension on how Our Blessed Mother loves and guides us. Even in the worst couple of years in my life, she pulled me through the mire and drew me close to her Son. I knew it was she who found the way into my broken heart. Our Lord has given her a special kind of spiritual language with which to grab us into His Sacred Heart. I am a Child of God with a true devotion to Our Mother. She made it happen. I am with you, dear Sister, at age 78. My Miraculous Medal and Brown Scapular came directly from her.
