I just bought my BT65 after watching many reviews on KZbin. Gotta say I love it. After zeroing at the range, I put the next 18 shots in 1 hole smaller than a nickel at 25 yards. I pushed it to 27 shots and they still went into the same hole with 1 fill. On the 27th shot, I could noticeably hear that I was low on air. Now to push my distance out and fine tune the scope. No modifications so far. You get exactly what you expect per the reviews.

Both of those reviews are something that I'll be getting to as the weather cools down. Right now it is just been too hot to get out to the range. So expect to see them sometime over the winter. Cheers Rick

I had the great opportunity to shoot the Hatsan BT65 .25 CAL this past weekend and it was very awesome in sooo many ways! Trigger pull was smooth, crisp, clean and predictable, the accuracy was phenomenal and the power shooting JSB 25-grain .25 ammo was extremely impressive! Has to be the most powerful, right-out-of-the-box, PCP .25 CAL Air-Rifle for under $800.00 on the market! Packed full of features to boot! Thanks again for the detailed review, agw.

Having owned or shot all of the above.. I would go with the Hatsan bt65 in .25 cal. It has performed better than any other gun I've tested at 100 and 100+ yards. Cheers Rick

I've had a couple of Marauders.. I have one now that's about 4 or 5 years old and just started leaking. I guess it's time for a rebuild. What's nice about guns like the Hatsan PCP is that the valve is in the cylinder.. if that leaks, you can just grab another one until you get the chance to rebuild the first one. Cheers. Rick

Thanks for the kind words.. I've shot a lot of guns.. granted not as many as others.. but a lot. When I can reliably hit at 100 yards, that's something. Most airguns just don't have the legs to get there. I'm really impressed with this gun. Cheers Rick
@AirGunWeb12 жыл бұрын
Usually the various MM sizes refer to the head size of the pellet, not the skirt. The eunjin pellets won't fit in the mag properly and would possibly jam. I've found the JSB pellets to work really well. If you're happy with what you're getting however.. more power to you. Cheers Rick.
@AirGunWeb12 жыл бұрын
As you may know I had the .25 Marauder as well. I prefer this gun. The added velocity gives it 100 yard range. The best group I got at 100 yards, of course I did not have the camera with me, was 1.4" ctc.. so 1.4 to 3" ctc are the norm. That may seem "large" but we are talking 100 yards here. not 20. This gun shoots as well as my ruger 10/22 and is the first airgun that I've tested that's practical to zero at 50 yards. Cheers Rick

I personally prefer the BT65 because it is a more traditional form factor and feels much nicer to shoot. But I'm sure there are some folks out there that may disagree. they are both very decent airguns. Cheers Rick

The Marauder in .25 is very accurate and not as loud.. still loud just not as loud. Here's the difference. With some guns I need to shoot a lot of cards to get just one good group for the camera. I did not have to do this with the Hatsan.. It always shoots good groups. There is no work involved to shoot this gun. The .25 Marauder is a good gun, but I like the Hatsan BT65 better. More energy, nicer feel, total ease of shooting. cheers Rick

Not sure on the .22.. I've really only tried a handful of PCP guns.. my hope is that I can try some higher end guns when it cools off this year so that I can have a really good comparison. I do really love the Marauder in .22, also the AT44 variants. Cheers Rick

I'm moving to Hawke Scopes, especially as a replacement for the higher end UTG scopes which have not been performing well for me recently. If you plan on $150 for a scope, you can get a good Hawke scope with rings and you gain the benefit of their software as well.. very cool stuff. Cheers Rick

I help HatsanUSA with their customer service department here in the States. I'm an independent contractor so I work with them, not for them if you understand the distinction. All the customer returns for the US come through my shop. I've had 1 BT65 come back for mechanical issues in that time I've not had any AT44's come back. The BT65 had over 12,000 pellets through it in under 5 months a part finally worked loose. (continued...)

The Quattro mechanism is the same design as their $150 Mod 95, but the trigger blade is nicer and the whole trigger seems more rugged and "tight," if that makes any sense. The adjustments are more distinct as well. It is very adjustable which is nice, more so than the Quattro triggers on the springers. Cheers Rick

the 125 spring gun is 98 db the bt65 is 121.. As for energy, you can pull that data using the foot pounds calculator on pyramyd air's site, but here are the numbers anyway: 125 - 38.88 joules / GT65 -74.97 joules cheers Rick

Rick i live far away in Macedonia and i own Hatsan AT 44-10 about 3 years in 4.5mm and i am very happy with it. Even it is .177 it still menages to do 100 meters shots with kodiaks and its a very nice performer. It holds 180cc in the air tube and from 200 to 100 bars it gives me 50 powerful shots. Hatsan is very nice and quality product i also own mod 95 in .177 i have it 6 months and i can tell you,of all the guns i own this two Hatsans are the real deal,cheap,reliable,powerful and accurate...

The trigger on the PCP has a nicer trigger blade. I prefer the angle on the PCP's more than the springers. However, the trigger on the springers is great as compare to most of the alternatives out there. The new RWS T06 is better. Rick

it can.. generally you want to stay under 1000 fps. The problem is more prominent with .177 pellets than with the heavier .22 and .25 pellets. Rick

It is threaded.. just like the rest of the Hatsans. I did not get into that part, but maybe I should have. Silencers are a bit of a sticky area here in the states, so I generally just stay away from that subject. Cheers Rick

The power of the Hatsan 95 in the power of the Hatsan 125 you can find on their related videos. Essentially the 95 gets around or close to 20 foot pounds where the 125 can get up to 30 foot pounds. The 150 is going to be closer to the 125 with regards to power. Cheers Rick

Hatsan ships to some 90+ countries worldwide. It may be that product sent to your distributors had an issue that did not effect the other 89 countries that also sell their products. It's important to remember that 1 bad experience does not mean the brand is all "bad." We've had our own challenges here in the US with the Striker spring gun.. We deal with it, fix it, and support our customers. I would communicate with your dealer as they should be supporting their customer base. Cheers Rick

It depends on where you are located.. There are some authorities that would see a silencer as a big issue. Some states also restrict their use. So, before you go trying to manufacture, purchase, or attach a device to reduce the report of the gun, check with the local authorities regarding the legality of it. You don't want to do jail time over an airgun. ~Cheers, Rick

The JSB Exact Kings should stay in place with the skirts flush against the back of the cylinder. This will leave some space in front of the pellet. I don't know if it's because I have one in .22 or because it's the rear bolt version, but mine doesn't have the automatic safety (luckily). Maybe the auto safety is something you'll only find on the American version? What is does have is an incredible amount of noise when firing. Courtesy of the loud muzzle report and the 15.9 grain pellets going supersonic. Heavy pellets (e.g. JSB Exact Heavy) are a must with this cannon!
