Freaking excellent gun, I dove into PCP air-gunning with this rifle after being horrified by the inaccuracy of a not exactly cheap spring-pneumatic from bass pro. I like that it has a small enough air chamber to use a simple hand pump. My results were the same as yours on the pellets. Mine loves JSB, they even load better, I shoot the jumbo heavies. Here is a rule of thumb: If you can buy the pellet at walmart or bass pro, its trash. Order a premium pellet, you will not regret it. At this point I'm even suspecting the spring pneumatic I returned could have been livable with a good pellet, glad it wasn't, I'm never turning back from the precharged units.

The Hatsans come "with" the fill port tool. They simply quick connect normally to your air pump.
@growlith69694 жыл бұрын
@@bradleyhopper4254 It came with the fill port tool but it does not mate readily to the hose end on the hand pump I bought (Air Venturi G7S) so I had to search around for the correct adapter, I think I ordered it from airgun depot or amazon or something. Since I was just getting into it and wasn't sure if I would like it I didn't get a powered pump and I liked that the Flash was easy enough to fill with a hand pump making it pretty affordable.

@@bradleyhopper4254 You will like it, super good gun for the money. Heres some advice because I love to talk about it, haha. Just remember to buy the JSB's because a lot of other stuff doesn't like to load without hanging when pushing through the magazine. Not a bad thing since the JSB's are really accurate. By the way I searched all over the internet for a good scope mount, and no matter how much you are willing to spend I don't think you will find a better one than I got on Amazon. It fits really well, lines right up with the edge of the magazine slot so its easy to locate and support the side of the magazine in its spot, solid block that keeps any movement from ever changing your zero. "UTG 1PC High Profile Airgun Mount with Stop Pin, 1" Dia" on Amazon, it costs less than $14 and built like a brick s***house. For a scope I went with the Mantis 3x9x32 from AirGun Depot, its $73, sturdy as hell and as long as you make sure you aren't pulling your eye off center the paralax isn't bad at all for a budget shooty site. And lastly, what taught me the most about the whole subject and shooting science in air rifles was watching Matt Dubber on youtube, his channel is AirArmsHuntingSA. Can't tell you how much amazing stuff I learned watching him.

Tyler, first off let me say, you did a great review on the Hatsan Flash. I have a couple of questions concerning the rifle, hopefully you have the answers I'm looking for. 1. Do you know what the twist rate is on the barrel? 2. What ring height did you use for mounting the scope? I don't remember you addressing those two issues. Again, great review, I want to thank you and PA for taking the time to do these reviews. This is a big help to all of us, that way we can make informed decisions on future purchases. Todd
@tylerpatner65916 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Todd. Sadly I don't know the twist rate of the barrel on the flash. As far as the rings go, they are high rings, Leapers Accushot rings. You could get away with medium rings if you have a 40mm objective lens scope or smaller, but since this was a 50mm objective, we needed the highs.

Hey Tyler, a thought on the dust cover issue... I agree that Hatsan needs to address that, especially for a gun really meant to be out in the fields and woods as a hunter (or in the pastures and barns as a pesting platform!). As a temp measure, would there be any lasting harm to the fill system if you used a foam earplug to seal the probe port? Many/most of us shooters either have or know where to pick those plugs for cheap, they compress easy to fit into channels and hollows, and expand to fill the void pretty well. Any danger to the fill valve or O-rings if you were to use one on the Flash?
@Monkeydad19696 жыл бұрын
Peter Leonard No, the plug shouldn't damage the o-rings.
@tylerpatner65916 жыл бұрын
Peter, I don't think it would cause a problem. Actually sounds like a smart solution. Just make sure the plugs won't dry out or break apart, you wouldn't want a small piece to get into the actual fill hole inside of the fill port.

I don’t know why reviews even do sound meter checks. They are a joke. The only way that would be in any way effective, is if the same meter was used in the same conditions and at the same range. So comparing two reviews is not accurate. Loudness is the last thing I worry about in an air rifle
