Probably because of the song Acute. Kaito cheats on Miku with her best friend Luka, she finds out and stabs him out of rage. She immediately feels regret and stabs herself out of guilt. Also Tokyo Teddy Bear.

I need an answer: Why is it that people who own this game... why are they planning to buy it again on the Vita? I mean I know the Vita is portable and all, but it's the same game... Is it really necessary? Perhaps you're more in sync (and/or perform better) if you play it on the Vita? I simply don't understand.

Fantasy Fangs It's more than worth it. This game will be the first time I ever payed for the same game 4 times, as I originally imported both the Vita and the PS3 Japanese version thinking at the time that it had pretty much no chance of getting localized.

Sega might consider it but the reason they picked this version aside from most of the DLC being programmed into it is that the Vita doesn't have a big user base outside Japan but PS3 does and Sega took a chance by bringing it here. So they want it to reach as many people mainstream as possible for any chances of the other games to come over too.

There's already a huge following in the US/Europe for this game. The reason it's popular is because of the music. You'll find that English speaking Vocaloid fans don't really care that they can't understand it and wouldn't want the music in English anyway. Also 'Nyan Cat' (not it's name but whatever) is in fact a Vocaloid song, so it makes sense that it's in this game.

No, playstation games aren't normally region locked. I was able to get project diva 2nd and extend, which are only Japanese, on my american psp and they played with no problems. I'm sure you can buy it online easily.

If costs isn't an issue for you, there's always the option to import it. It's ridiculously easy to navigate without any Japanese knowledge.

They picked version because aside from the fact that it includes almost all the DLC programmed into it the PS3 has a bigger user base since outside Japan the Vita just isn't selling a lot. So given those circumstances and the fact that Sega took a chance by releasing it outside Japan they did only the PS3 version since that's a major home platform. If it sells well then they might consider the Vita version and the sequel Project Diva F 2nd.

Imported the vita version when it first came out. Anybody who is still on edge on getting the game GET IT. Worth every penny and I highly recommend it. Also the more people who buy it the better chance we have of getting future miku games in the U.S

The playstation 2's 'Eyetoy' came out years before the Kinect was even a thing. It came out when the PS2 and xbox original were still current gen,and it follows the same premise of the Kinect so technically,the Kinect is a PS Eye toy copy. So.....yeah.

Then they should start with the Nintendo 3DS. There is even a 3DS version they should localize and release called "PROJECT MIRAI" especially since the system is one of the most profitable systems out there right now. The 3DS already has the fanbase of some JRPG fans and those who love Japanese-centric culture. It makes perfect sense to be on 3DS and it would sell a heck of a lot more.

The Vita was a Failure but I think it will redeem itself when the PS4 comes out. In fact I'm planning on getting a Vita along with the PS4 and I bet a lot of other people will too. The Vita already has it's own Project Diva and a Project Diva edition Vita too in japan. Diva F is just the first official western game for the PS3.

I wouldn't be surprised considering that the EU branch for a lot of companies like Sega, Capcom, Square-Enix, etc do these kind of things. Capcom & Square-Enix built up a bad relationship with the public over the years but some of the announcements made by EU branch really added to fire like the MegaMan Legends 3 cancellation announcement they had made a few years back. Sega Japan & Sega NA really wanted This game to go west full speed and did whatever to advertise it here at both 2012 & 2013 E3

Yea im well aware that Parappa is a japanese game im just saying it's more acceptable in the U.S and also that Hatsune Miku is one of japan's biggest idols along with all of the vocaloids in fact im glad this game is finally localized but i was just hoping it would be the vita version and i hope this games sells well so that can happen but for right now i would get a bunch of weird stares for having this on my ps3 it's sad but it's true even as much as i love these types of games and styles

Parappa is anime just a different style. Despite what you said these characters have over 1 million western followers which is why this game was released outside Japan. The characters are actually based on Yamaha's voice synthesizing program the vocaloids owned by their subsidary Crypton Future Media Inc. So the music is made by random people on the internet using this music making software that the game is based on. I understand you though I'm just saying. These characters even get live shows.

They said early on that it would be a week later than the U.S release and digital only. There must be something in the localization rules that prevents them from a physical retail release and if not then I don't know what Sega EU is thinking.

I gave this game a try today while I was at the local Walmart in Covina, California. It was a demo on the PS3. I do not have that console. I would so buy this game if I did!

I must have missed the memo that stated "Sales automatically count towards a better product. You know what else get's tons of sales? The Call of Duty franchise,and isn't CoD just the pinnacle of innovation and isn't it loved and respected by everyone? The 3DS got so much sales because it released at a great time, had a interesting sounding hook ( 3D that no one uses anymore ) and it was cheap. The Vita is an obviously stronger hand-held.

No it was not. Hatsune Miku was created as a mascot for Crypton Future Media's first Vocaloid 2 software. She got incredibly popular as a lot of very talented people used the software and used her image for music videos.
