I love the fact that throughout the MV mafuyu looks kinda off and detached from everyone else almost like if she's in her own world, the songs about embracing your personality, but mafuyu doesn't really have one, that's why she seems so depressed and shows no interest throughout the video and her dancing goes from fast to slow in some parts of the choreography.

I actually have a theory about the light turning from pink to blue. As most of you know mafuyu have indentity issues but the others does not. for me this song tells a story about mafuyu and mizuki, them being the mcs of this story. I think that this is why the lights are pink to make a direct reference to saki's physic and childish behavior in general. from saki's pov everybody around smile and enjoy the music ( wich is a representation of life for me ) that express their identity, everybody except mafuyu. then we move to mafuyu's pov this is why the lightning suddenly became darker, her vision of life is sad , empty and sorrow ( also everybody stops smiling ). then the lights suddenly turns blue as a representation of mafuyu finally finding hope in life, finally being who she really is ( wich represents the moment where she found her true feelings and didn't have to keep that "good girl image" ) it's like she is finally accepting the fact that she does not belong to any common type or characteristics in this society, she is just who she is and she can do whatever she wants. then the light switches from blue to pink, I don't really know why this happened but I think it's whether a transition between saki's and mafuyu's pov or mafuyu's hope finally turning into realisation/reason to live. and finally the lights turning pink ( again ) kinda like an end of something but also as a renewal of an other. if you made it until here congratulations you're a legend :)

this is very good! however, i think it’s a different reason. this is a mizuki focus song, and it wouldn’t make sense to also make mafuyu the focus when it doesn’t have anything to do with her. the song is about mizuki accepting their identity just as they are because they were bullied previously. i think the blue light represents mizukis masculinity, and the pink represents their femininity, because it has been hinted mizuki is trans. mafuyu is not a main character because IDSMILE is a mizuki focus song and it was written for a mizuki focus event and only focuses on her
