Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao has competed in professional boxing since 1995. Regarded by many boxing historians as one of the greatest professional boxers of all time, Pacquiao is the only boxer in history to win 12 major world titles in eight different weight divisions. He is also the first and only boxer in history to win the lineal championship in five different weight divisions, as well as being the first and only boxer in history to win major world titles in four of the original eight weight divisions of boxing, also known as the "glamour divisions": flyweight, featherweight, lightweight and welterweight. As of September 2020, Pacquiao is the oldest welterweight world champion in history at the age of 41, and the first boxer to become a recognized four-time welterweight champion after defeating then undefeated unified WBA Super/WBC champion Keith Thurman to win the WBA (Super) welterweight champion. Pacquiao also holds the record of being the first and only four-decade world champion in history, having held world championships in the 1990s; WBC/Lineal World Flyweight, 2000; IBF Superbantamweight World Champion, Ring/Lineal Featherweight World Champion, WBC/Ring/Lineal Superfeatherweight World Champion, WBC Lightweight, World Champion, IBO/Ring/Lineal Light-Welterweight World Champion and WBO Welterweight World Champion ), 2010s; WBC Superwelterweight World Champion and WBO/Lineal Welterweight World Champion (2x) and 2020s; WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion. He was named Fighter of the Decade for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), WBC and WBO. He is also a three-time Ring magazine and BWAA Fighter of the Year, winning both awards in 2006, 2008 and 2009; and the Best Fighter ESPY Award in 2009 and 2011. In 2016, Pacquiao was ranked second on ESPN's list of top boxers, pound-for-pound, of the past 25 years. BoxRec ranks Pacquiao as the fifth greatest boxer, pound for pound, of all time, as well as the greatest Asian boxer of all time. World-renowned boxing expert and historian Bert Sugar ranked Pacquiao as the greatest southpaw fighter of all time. In 2020, Pacquiao topped the Ranker's list of best boxers of the 21st century NOTES First and only boxer to win a World titles in 8 Weight Divisions. First and only Asian boxer to win a world title in at least 5 weight divisions. First and only Filipino boxer to win a World title in at least 5 weight divisions. First and only boxer to win a lineal World title in at least 5 weight divisions. First and only boxer to held a World title in at least four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s). Only boxer to held a world title in at least four age decades (denarian, vicenarian, tricenarian, quadragenarian). Oldest welterweight world champion in history. Fifth-oldest boxer to win a world title in history (40 years, 215 days old). *Opinion (If only Pacquiao is American/ African-American, British or White, no doubt those people will debates and considered him The Greatest, but he is a fucking ASIAN)

The thing is, Pac is 5'6". His ideal weight therefore is 140-150ish. So really, he's fighting at his optimum weight which translates to optimum power. It's no surprise why he's so strong at that weight because he is healthy.
@marcuslarwa9098 Жыл бұрын
If your natural weight is 140-150 then you would want to fight at 130-135 because losing 5-10 pounds of water for only a couple hours doesn’t hurt your body and you can gain back the water weight and be a lot stronger. Yes fighting around your natural weight has great advantages but so does draining your body of water and weighting in lighter then rehydrating and coming in with a weight advantage. The fighters that can do that more effectively are usually the top fighter in the division. Look at Khabib for example that dude was able to cut 20-25 pounds and still put the weight back on, giving him a huge advantage over his opponents. If your natural weight is 150 and your fighting at 147 you could end up fighting a guy that’s a 165-170 pounds. Matter a fact Spence walks around at like 170 but can get down to 147 for just long enough to weight in for the fight. Then he puts the weight back on and he ends up being a super middle weight fighting against smaller opponents.

Well in the past when MP' hurts his opponents he wont wait around to finish them. Its a risk reward type deal. He's KO'd 38 opponents because of his aggressive philosophy. you win some you lose some. But hey its better than watching a boring ass FM fight lol

Ricky did good, he was on top for most of the first round, got some good shots in both rounds, but in ths fight and with Mayweather he suffered a lack of confidence when affected his performance. Pacman seemed to have superior body strength which is why Ricky never probably went for the holds, but he should have held and fought toe to toe a bit as well as trying to block more punches and "catch" the jab, the way Michael Watson did brilliantly against Eubank in their second fight.

@RossKempOnYourMum016 жыл бұрын
Because he started off as a flyweight and hadn't KO'd anyone like that with one punch in a long time, he was TKOing guys, making them retire on the stool or the referee step in. It's nothing to do with racism u batshit knob
@oscarmike57076 жыл бұрын
I don't really see racism on that statement, Pactard. They did not talk shit about your race. They never said anything about how ignorant Filipinos are or how stupid Filipinos are thinking they are the best nationality in the world or that they are the kings of this planet. They did not insult your race or your filthy countrymen who is a disgrace to the boxing world. They never went offensive in your blind patriotism and they did not say anything bad about Manny. Don't get me wrong. I think Manny is the GOAT of this generation. It's just that his fans are giving him a bad reputation that he does not even deserve. The only thing that they said was that Manny surprised them because in the boxing world, you don't always see a man who was able to adapt himself into a weight division way over his natural weight. Something that is a rarity in the boxing world. If you were in their position, would you actually believe that a man like Pacquiao would be able to go toe to toe while fighting on a division where his opponents are literally towering over him? Oh Wait.... I forgot you are just nothing but casual boxing fans who only watch Manny's fights to sate your patriotic desires. You people aren't even real boxing fans. But if somehow i am wrong, then maybe you should know that there is a whole reason on why Manny was the First and the Only one to win 8 divisions. There was no man before Pac who did what Pac did.
