I just watched Roadrunner Nia deliver a load of potatoes. The trailer was a mess, she cleaned out almost all the potatoes by hand before the wash out. That's a bummer that Angel's perfect backing wasn't on camera! Hope you guys have a safe trip back to Florida.
@RunningOTR5 ай бұрын
Yeah potatoes get pretty messy and hard to clean we ended up paying 187.56 total for the washout since it was a long process. He did a perfect back at the loves but didn’t get it on video since it was pretty busy there we just wanted to get into a spot for a quick 30 minute brake.
@thetexastrucker79345 ай бұрын
I watched that video. I delivered there a couple years ago and my trailer was three times worse than hers. Her trailer was halfway clean. My entire floor was covered with potatoes. Cleaning potatoes by hand is a good workout at least just the loose ones. The ones stuck in the crevices are for the washout.

I leave too many comments. Some places lift the tractor and trailer. I don’t know if you went far enough into the spud shed where you loaded, but they use a Spudnik to scoop up the spuds and get it on the conveyor. Places unload with the same thing. Dumping is so much better. The Spudnik squishes the spud in the floor grooves.
@RunningOTR5 ай бұрын
Yeah they used the thing to scoop it up and then the conveyor to load it up after into the trailer and we kept pulling up after they got enough on drives and middle and tandems

Tell your trainee to get some decent shoes. He won't want to crawl around under the truck or walk around loading yards wearing flip flops. He'll be glad he has some decent work shoes.the first time there's a breakdown or he needs to get out and help another driver on the interstate. I know the last recommendation might not be approved by your Trucking Company but I like to think some people still have the human decency to help others when they are needed.
