Cool, I'm from Maine and never heard about any of this stuff before. I'm not far from Waldo county, definitely want to go look for that "devil truck"...

I have been all over this fine country we have the privilege of living in except for your area in the North East. I understand it is a beautiful place with some wonderous coasts.

@@thomasmatthews8055 It really is a great place, and an awesome place to grow up in. Maine is kind of a weird place too in the way that it's almost like 2 different states, southern half folks have more interest in the coastal areas, then there's northern Maine where the forest just seems to go on and on and on. The last section of the Appalachian trail that goes through Maine is some of the hardest and most beautiful along with New Hampshire. People who live in southern Maine actually vacation in northern Maine and many own camps up there as if it were a different state entirely. But, up north has many coastal towns worth visiting too, and though there are many, many miles of coastline, and thus many, many coastal towns, each is slightly different in its own way and will offer a slightly different experience than the others. Some beaches, and some so rocky they're too dangerous to traverse without the help of stairways built to get people down to the water safely. I've only gone out of state a the handful of times and never further than South Carolina but it always surprises me when someone asks where I'm from and then asks where Maine is, or asks "Isn't that up in Canada?". To be fair I get that mostly in New York City and honestly I'm surprised a lot of those folks can even blow their own nose without a full set of detailed instructions. If you ever get a chance to visit Maine, there's definitely no other state like it in my opinion.

Ever heard of Pineland in New Gloucester? That place is haunted AF. We used to break in at night in the late 90's when it was abandoned. We ran out of there every time; absolutely terrified. Now its all redone and full of offices and whatnot... I guarantee the people who work there now have some stories.

Maranacook Black Bears!!! Edit: I'm in Manchester. Right next to Readfield. Same school district. Its the most wholesome place in the world. Augusta? Not so much. It's gotten pretty bad. The area around St Michael's is called "Fentanyl Hill" nowadays.
