Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.

Actually the entire segment from 0:14 to 0:24 is the bride sequence (at least in Magic Kingdom). It was added after a refurb about a decade ago. They have an entire sequence of headless husbands, with the bride and her ax at the end. ("I do, I did." Lol...)

This is what Disney needs nowadays. Instead of cashing in on those unnecessary live action remakes that's getting stale, make a new story, in this case based on their theme park rides into movies. Even if it doesn't work, i still apprciate their effort in trying something new. Just like Tomorrowland which was a pretty underrated movie and prefer to watch that over the Disney remakes

For this movie though, they’re probably gonna take away all the comedy away from the mansion ghosts and give it to the human characters, despite the original ride perfectly mixing comedy and horror together, instead of it only being scary or funny. One, Rosario Dawson’s character being named Gabbie and spelled that way has me soooo happy. Two, Captain Gore hint at the end as me SCREAMING. Three, the Hat Box ghost looks amazing. Then the water rushes in and creates a wave in the room and the outline of a man’s face is in the water. Also I think very briefly you can see a ship in the distance when he opens the door! I am so exited for this movie because I love the ride so much! All the little Easter eggs are so amazing and the ending scene is really funny. I was smiling the whole time watching it! I love that the hatbox ghost is in this film because he is one of my favorite Disney characters. Can’t wait ❤️
