Hi there Yvonne and Chris! I'm not sure if you've heard or actually seen the vlog by thrifter and designer Laura Caldwell. But, she has an item that seems to follow her on her thrifting adventures. It's happened so much that when she spies it out in the wild, she adds a little song/jingle to the video in editing. That candle holder from Home Interiors is the item that seems to follow you around. It needs it's own jingle, hahaha ! BTW: At about the 20 minute mark, Chris's face was hilarious and had me in tears laughing! Take a look for yourself! I really enjoy the long videos on Sunday evenings... great content and lots of fun! 👍

My ex husband and I used to do auctions for furniture he would refinish. I haven't gone to any auctions for sometime. I get auction fever and spend too much money. 😂 plus our favorite auctioneers retired and sold their business. However, I would not be opposed to hitting some up this fall. Watching you and Chris reminds me how fun and exciting auctions can be. I am living vicariously through you all. 😅😂😅😂

I love auctions! I was the bookkeeper at one for awhile. Wrote out the tickets, collected monies from buyers and paid the sellers. Whew!! It was a job at times but, I loved it!! It was so much fun!!

Oh my goodness what a collector this dentist was. I’m still overwhelmed knowing that there’s still more things that need to go into the auction. Not to be nosy but I would have loved to know more about the person who’s collected all of the items that are being auctioned off. That’s if I went to auctions but unfortunately I’m never ahead financially to go to one. I do like to hit estate sales sometimes. You n Chris did quite well. A lot of interesting items. I’m a frog lover so am happy you got some frogs. I collect them in memory of my son, he loved frogs when he was younger. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

You sure did find a lot of goodies. Holy cow. I can’t believe the amount of stuff that man has. I love going to auctions, estate sales and yard sales.I haven’t been to one for several months. I just can’t get around too well with my bum hip. We have spirits in our house. The original part of our house was built in 1780. We have heard footsteps across the front porch. My husband heard footsteps when he was down in the basement. Several times, I have smelled a sweet floral perfume at the top of the stairs and in the dining room. We haven’t picked heard anything for quite sometime. Nothing spooky.

Oh my. I think Chris hit the nail on the head. The guy was a hoarder. You got some great things. I loved the cute Hallmark card. I used to sell Stampin Up, so it was neat to hear you mention that. We just don't have auctions around here like you seem to. I used to go with my mom when I was little, though. We have a local Goodwill and St. Vincent, but I haven't been in them for years. Our local antique mall closed, but there is a new one in the next city over. I have never been to the bins. You both have a wonderful week!

Holy wow. 3 auctions already done, and there was all of that up auction plus there’s so much more to empty out? My mind just can’t wrap itself around that!😮. I saw way to much to really liked just in the art work but I’m just speechless. As a Christian to me I can’t understand stand why he bought so much and did not open or use. Growing up so poor I can understand in away because my mom let so much Stuff go to waste. She bought things to save for a rainy day but then again she hoarded every scrap of paper, church bulletin to write on because she didn’t want to waste good paper. Growing up in the depression did a lot of damage to peoples minds. Sorry 😅. Anyway as usual you did not disappoint with the quality and quantity of content.😊❤

We don't have outside auctions or estate sales here in UK...but I did bid on few items on an online local auction house, won box of vintage rolling pins and sew box full of vintage goodies thanks for your inspiration x

Loved the birthday card, and light up frame. Oh my goodness, all the frogs...love them!! I really liked the BIG cross. That is totally unusual. 😐 Thanks for taking us along!! Goodwill Bins: Are large bins on wheels full of all kinds of things that are just tossed in them. You go around the bins and pick out thwat you like and put it in your buggy. When you go to check out it is so much per pound for the items.

It is amazing how much "stuff" this person had accumulated over the years, wow! I, being a junk journal maker/creator and paper lover would have gone for the piano rolls, those old newspapers Chris showed and books etc. I was gob smacked by the amount of stuff this person had. I mean it wasn't just a box of piano rolls, it was many boxes, wow. I do love the old, vintage and primitive things as well, and pottery, LOVE me some pottery. I knew you would go home with that cross, it is beautiful! And the rosery on it! OMG!! I would not be able to let that go, it is stunning! Awesome score Yvonne! To answer your question about inspiring others to go to auctions, yes, absolutely y'all have inspired me to look for auctions, however, I can never find any near enough to where I live to go to. Because of my location, any auctions in my area are to do mostly with old farm equipment, tools and the like. But I continue to search for them. Great haul y'all !! Thanks for sharing. Oh my! I can’t go to an Auction!!!!! The first days of eBay, I had 24 open auctions and won 23, was freaked out about winning so many but yet upset I had lost the one! 😂 my competitive nature and auctions would be a bad bad combo!!!!! LOL I DO still fight for stuff on your site, I establish my max, but SOMEtimes, it gets increased if I get notified of being outbid #sigh when you live something you just do what you have to do 😂

I tried an online auction locally and won a lot of old children’s books and vintage kitchen tools, I used the tools to make a vignette similar to one you did😊 the children’s books went to my pastors kiddos ❤

Did I ever tell you about the time two of my best friends,(sisters), and I went on a seniors European vacation with both of our mothers? We traveled through Spain and Portugal on a very plush bus. We used the very back seats of the bus to nap during the day. Hey we were young and really enjoyed ourselves in the evening. By the time we left Fatima Portugal, we were napping with several ginormous rosaries that were purchased by our older travel mates. Your exceptionally large cross made me laugh….in a good way.

My goodness! He was a hoarder extraordinaire! I don't go to auctions. I have in the past, but now I'm afraid I'll sneeze and come home with some ugly piece of yard art! I like estate sales. I don't look to see what they have, I just go and take a chance. The last one I went to was when I was visiting Virginia. My sister and I went. She got stuck with all of the Christmas stuff. I wasn't really interested, but I stayed with her. I looked down to see a metal train with key and track. My husband is a train lover, so I, of course, picked it up. When I went to check out, she only wanted $25. When I got home with it, we did a little research. Someone sold one just like it, hit missing pieces for $325! My hubby said that I did really well.

The rosary would be Catholic, but the cross is not, as Catholic crosses have Jesus's cruificed body on it & that one does not. Catholics usually do not call their priests pastors. Those puffer fish are too creepy to take home. I can't believe you bought another Home Interiors candelabra. Love that ducky birthday card. The cross is not Catholic as all Catholic crosses have Christ cruicified on it that cross does not, the rosary is Catholic

I'm so glad you got the brass ram. There is a life size ram sculpture on a boulder in the Reno, Nevada airport. Such an interesting auction. Sometimes I am jealous that I am not there shopping with you. But other times I am happy to just watch the bad weather and dirt and grime. A good haul.

Here in indy very seldom anymore live auctions after covid they found out they make alot more money on line. I worked clerking for several auctioneers for 30 urs. I loved it and miss them learned so much and yes had 2 shops,so much fun. Go to alot of garage sales now. Lol

My house was built in 1900 when my granddaughter was 3 she came to stay the night with me . She could see a man and woman who are in my house .she described them both to me .She said they were here to protect us . My dog sees them too.

The abundance of memories and history entwined into the walls are simply immeasurable...❤There is pretty much possible to find any and everything here. ❤Lovvve the Christmas! Especially the Bendy Elves& Santas..The old books always catch my eye , as I've always been an avid reader.The ornate frame& mirror are going to be simply gorgeous with your visions on them...the detailing on them both is what attracts me, Gold& gaudy just is not me!😂 I'm soo proud you saved the carved bear from the dump!
