I grew up in a lovely home at the edge of the picturesque and lush Alborz mountains. My elegant, eloquent, and debonair father was a prominent judge, and this was his favorite classical piece. A few years ago, the man of a million fascinating anecdotes acquiesced to the silent, cruel ravages of Alzheimer's. The sight of my mom, his wife of 60 years, and this song were the only things that brought a twinkle to his increasingly blank, distant gaze. The power of music is immeasurable. It penetrates deep into the crevices of our soul and weaves into the very fabric of who we are. I miss my dad so much! I wish I could have just one more evening with him. I would play this version of the piece as the soundtrack of such a most precious occasion. I think he would approve.

Everyone always has something beautiful to remember the loved departed ones. Mine was the hilarious sense of humor of my departed father,. brothers and sisters. My mother was a gentle, wise and simple wife who always made balance in every occasion and situation. I really miss the all especially when listening to this kind of music.

It's called "Le Beirut" (which means "To Beirut") It's shattering to see the explosion that has happened in Beirut a few days ago (on August 4th, 2020)! The Concierto de Aranjuez was inspired by the gardens at Palacio Real de Aranjuez, the spring resort palace and gardens built by Philip II in the last half of the 16th century and rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century by Ferdinand VI. The work attempts to transport the listener to another place and time through the evocation of the sounds of nature.
