Chillida Leku: Home of Eduardo Chillida

Chillida Leku is the result of a longtime dream of the artist Eduardo Chillida: to create a space where his works could be permanently displayed. Chillida Leku is a sculptural space, considered an artwork by the artist where his vision of form, space, and time are in perfect balance.
The Chillida Leku project began in 1983 when Eduardo Chillida and his wife, Pilar Belzunce, purchased the Zabalaga estate. However, the idea had been brewing for a long time, like an unattainable dream in the mind of the sculptor: “One day, I dreamed of a utopia: of finding a space where my sculptures could rest and where people could walk through them as though in a forest.” In the open fields and forests of the Zabalaga country house, Chillida found the perfect place for realizing his dream.

A degree in Art History and sculpture, lots of modern art classes and this is the first time I've heard of Eduardo Chillida. I want my tuition money back. This was a lovely introduction to his work.

That's how it is for many. only half a year ago (I'm 63 years old) I saw that there is such a thing as tuition in the English language. And that shed a whole new light on the term intuition, which I love to use.

@Merle Ginsberg Official , lol! Nope, that's not it. Dean's List. State University, preinternet days, two art magazines in the Uni library. If the professors didn't present someone and they didn't have work being shown in LA or SF we just didn't get exposed to them. Unless of course Barnes & Noble had a coffee table art book about the artist. Otherwise, nada. On the bright side Charles Gaines was one of my professors so I did get some out of the box exposure.
