I agree with the many comments regarding the production. I mean going up? As to the gentlemen waiting, they are so far away that by the time they can offer support, the model would have already tripped and be on the floor!
@jlasf Жыл бұрын
Something is wrong when 50% of the comments are about how bad the setting is. You see the back of the dress? I assumed the models would come out from the center and come down the stairway. Going up is just a terrible production mistake. What a pity.

Why in the world would they orchestrate an entire show where the cameras and audience only see the backs of the models for 90% of the time?

The most beautiful presentation on earth…. Elegance beyond descriptions! The back interests are fascinating! Artistic perspectives for presenting designs as great as Stéphane Rolland! Love ❤️ the music! Love ❤️ every design! Love ❤️ the opportunity to wear all of his designs! A genuine artist! Thank YOU 🙏

Exceptionally elegant and beautiful dresses. Perhaps a different venue although Galliano pulled it off years ago with girls floating, flirting and even sitting down on those stairs. Any time a girl was having trouble here you could plainly see what the problem was but it was worth it when she would turn and you got to glimpse the gown from the front. Remembering the Galliano show, it might have been even more elegant having the gentlemen escorting each model. Camera placement was very bad and left me wanting to see these creations closer and frontal. Hope they were well paid for practically risking their lives...

Lovely and marvellous looks. What a shame the realisation was a little strange sometimes… a frontal camera at the top of the stairs would be great to see the whole look when arriving (sometimes the camera changes when the model turns on the stairs). But to be fair, I appreciate the slow walking and have several angles of the looks. In other fashion shows is almost impossible to see nothing and the realisation is a chaos where you see a same look 3 times and almost nothing on others. And it seems that the risky stairs locations trend is back 😂 (But this ones going upstairs with long gowns was riskier than Valentino’s show 😂)
@earlmcornell Жыл бұрын
What good were those “gents in tux” some of those girls almost slipped, they needed a helping hand!
@Oftenboy Жыл бұрын
@@earlmcornell Absolutely! But I think that at the first flight of stairs they are a little bit far, and probably the directions for the guys were to try not to show off unless it was absolutely necessary (at some point -I think the rose-like skirt- you can see one of them make an attempt to help just in the first stairs). Location is lovely (Opera Garnier at Paris). I was there and its magnificent for a show like this, but maybe another tour would be better. Just simply the opposite! They could have a wonderful frontal if the models ended walking down the stairs, and the models could even do a turn back pose once stopped on a stair. But… Choices, and I guess some issues and problems we don’t know (but we must comment what we see and our impressions about it.

Whoever staged this show should be fired. Distant cameras that don't allow for close-up views of the couture details. Seriously bad lighting that washes out the dresses. Extended views of the BACKS of the dresses. 😂Perhaps as an attendee, this show was a success because you were seated closer to the models. But as an online show this was a disaster. What is the point of seeing couture from far, far away? Perhaps the models should have started on the balcony (with multiple cameras showing the dresses in detail) and then had each girl escorted down the stairs by the arm by a waiting gentleman? They would be walking TOWARDS a camera at the foot of the stairway instead of away from the camera. Worse lit and staged show of the season. Congratulations!

Great clothes........I think. If only we got to actually see them properly. I'm a big fan of Stephane Rolland and look forward to his couture shows, but I am absolutely disappointed in him for this disaster. What a terrible place to stage a fashion show! What the hell was he thinking by staging a show in a place where the models couldn't walk without stumbling and were unable to properly showcase the clothes they're paid to wear and show off?? The people attending had to be on their feet the entire time and couldn't even get a proper view of the clothes on show. If Rolland is slammed in the fashion media for this pathetic show, then it's absolutely and thoroughly deserved. By far, THE worst show he has ever staged!!! And don't get me started on the SHODDY CAMERA WORK!!! Whoever filmed this should NEVER be hired to film anything again!! WORST. FASHION. SHOW. EVER!!

Also they had all these men in tuxedos standing around and not one was gallant enough to assist these formally gowned ladies to climb that treacherous staircase . This "show" did the clothes a huge disfavor. Galliano would never had screwed up like that !

beautiful venue, BUT putting those models in such a precarious position is highly questionable! it was uncomfortable to watch, knowing some very nearly tripped! If they really had to use the staircase, which is beautiful, they should have had the men escort the models up the stairs. I hope the models have good insurance! I shudder to think what would have happened if one of them fell! Wearing six inch heels with no straps DOES not help! A bit of common sense would have been nice. Unfortunately, it detracted from the beautiful gowns. The one girl having to ascend one step at a time says it all! As for the model that was naked but for a thin gauze, I’m afraid I think it’s ridiculous, and models shouldn’t be expected to do this. I feel this goes against the whole atmosphere of the collection. Given the fight against objectification of women in the world, I feel this does nothing to fight against it.

Stephane never fails to deliver, his clients can see themselves walking up the grand stairways of chateaus, palaces and other such venues in these statement, spectacular gowns that are nothing short of breathtaking. The gowns are so easy to move in and seem effortless considering the silhouette and amount of fabric and embellishments. Kudos to you Stephane, you really know what you're doing and understand the power of a magical gown. Lots and lots and lots of congratulations.

Designer clothes can cost thousands of dollars but if you can't walk in or sit comfortably with them, as far as I'm concerned, it's not worth it. The gowns are beautiful and the models are gorgeous, but let's face it, some of those gowns are difficult to walk in and God help you if someone steps on your train as you're trying to walk. I'd rather be stylishly comfortable to be able to enjoy my evening rather than worry if I''m gonna be able to walk or sit in my gown.

Who ever pitched this idea of presenting the collection need to try the walk themselves, and the sit and try and watch. It’s was a major fail. As far as the collection,I might have been concentrating so much on the uncomfortable passes I missed something but kind of bla while being over done.

Clothes, spectacular as long as you do not have to ascend or descend stairs. Camera work, bad...they kept missing too much. For haute couture surprisingly a lot of the clothing was wearable...just avoid stairs.

Why do they do this? Steps look nice but they always cause problems for the models and they end up distracting from the garments. I suppose we should be thankful the models are going up rather than down.
