The H6 Hybrid seems so much more modern and packed for both comfort and safety. My only concern is the reviews in Australia point out the poor ride handling at speed on our roads. Time to take a test drive and see for myself as overall the Havel seems a better deal.

Yes... reviewers say whollowy ride.... I definitely dont have the same experience... in my view, the ride of the H6 is firm. Oh... I promise you SA roads are worse.. Go and drive it!

How do they compare with fuel consumption?

Good question... in town they are very very similar. Highway use the RAV is slightly lighter on fuel. But overall they are very very similar.

I havent seen that... based on my experience that Haval was not badly priced. You can phone them and make a comparison...

In the philippines H6 cost me 1.7 million pesos and RAV4 cost hrre 2.7 million pesos with 1 million pesos difference i bought the H6 240HP but RAV 4 176HP both hybrid

The no spare wheel in the Haval is a deal breaker for me!

Hi, I really haven't had any issues so far with the lack of a spare wheel. As highlighted, they do not leave you empty-handed as some manufacturers do. At least, you do get a repair fluid and an electrical pump with the car.

Unless you get a bad slash in your wheel, the repair fluid actually works and will get you back on the road again and to a garage for new tyre.

Nice review! I personally drive a 2023 RAV4 VX model. The new 2023 models has a different infotainment system, it does not have all those buttons just a single rotary button and a full hi res touchscreen. I preferred the modern infotainment interface over the old one. The only missing feature in the VX model is the seat cooling, all other features are basically aligned to the Haval. The VX model only has seat heating. Why it is spec'd in SA like this still boggles the mind. The Haval H6 HEV is definitely value for money when you compare these 2 models in this video from a price and feature perspective.
