Nope, it doesn't. Very smooth change of gears, you hardly notice it.

I did test drive this car last week, it doesn't jerk, I guess he's foot is not gentle on the pedal

Seconded! In the mean time whilst you shop for a lapel mic, you can lower the background music substantially so that the voice stands out more.
