Haval Jolion HEV Review | Better than Corolla Cross HEV? | AutoXfinity

Sazgar Engineering has launched Haval Jolion HEV in Pakistan which is also the company's second locally assembled hybrid vehicle in the market after Haval H6 HEV and also most affordable in the CKD market.
Haval Jolion now comes in two variants at the following ex-factory prices:

🟠 Haval Jolion HEV 1.5L -- PKR 9,295,000/
Haval Jolion Hybrid is a direct competitor of Toyota Corolla Cross HEV in the Pakistani market which is priced higher than the Jolion HEV.
🟠 Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 HEV -- PKR 9,399,000/
🟠 Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8X HEV -- PKR 9,849,000/

Good review, but I have the following reservations: Point # 1: If it's a naturally aspirated engine then we would be able to use standard fuel on it so it should drastically reduce cost there. Point # 2: its the latest gen hybrid technology, so its claim is around 24 km/l averagely. Again, it has to be tested to verify. Point # 3: Keeping above 2 points in view and looking at the other reviews, the car does around 1100-1300 km / 55L (tank capacity). Whilst the standard jolion turbo with hioctane fuel does between 500 - 700 km/55L (tank). Which means almost double the travel capability in HEV, half the fuel cost approximately. So there is a probability within 5-7 years, u can possibly recover the cost difference. Additionally ppl living in area with loads of bumps and hills will find HEV to perform comparatively better economically as compared to the turbo counterpart. Point # 4: you always have to pay extra for added power/torque. That alone covers half the price difference. So we are actaully comparing 6-7 lacs difference here in terms (for fuel cost recovery comparison)

Haval does not have a vast dealership network, secondly the maintenance of this car would be costly. Availability of spare parts at affordable prices would also be a big challenge
