There are a lot of great scenes that make this look like an amazing movie, but the way the scenes were placed together made the movie clunky. I still like it but it needed a little more work.

HansCent the problwm there was the studio made the genious decision to have the movie recut and by the team who did the trailer. between that and reshoots the studio sabotaged the movie by basically shoving 2 edits of the movie into each other.

I get the feeling that this was, at one point in the writing process, originally intended to be a mostly psychological film, almost a Silent Hill kind of thing. Even the villain is mostly designed for psychological exploration, since her power is more about tempting you with your deepest desires rather than action. The name Suicide Squad was supposed to have a double meaning, as these are all people who have self-destructed, and who need to reject the illusion of happy lives in order to triumph. Then the studios tried to turn it into an action flick and made a mess. The action scenes are pathetic, because the movie wasn't originally designed to be about action.

Michael Matherne yeah you can clearly see that through the first more gritty trailer, unfortunately the studio decided to do like deadpool and reshooted scenes to add jokes and cut some vital elements that makes that there are a lot of set ups with no payoffs whatsoever, on top of that terrible decisions were made one after one another like giving the editing to a trailer house, or some basic scenaristic choices that just transform this movie into an incoherent mess. It's just really sad because it had so much potential, at least Margo Robie makes a great Harley Quinn

I don't know why but I love this scene. It's like there is no fight anymore and they just poor their hearts to each other. Harley is just amazing as always, but the discussion she had with el diablo shows us such an emotion inside of her. She is pissed, she is mad.. because deep down that's what she wants as well. Amazing writing on this scene. No special effects no CGI.. just a simple bar scene, and yet really powerful
