Mick Foley is one determined S.O.B. He shone in the Attitude Era thanks to his complete lack of fear, creativity in his characters and natural likeability. No matter the harm, he always gave his everything and beyond in the ring, putting the performance above his own health. I really hope he's going to get through Covid, but then again... we're talking about a guy who survived falling from HIAC twice and being speared through a flaming table. I haven't watched wrestling since I was 10, but I have seen Foley interviewed about things other than wrestling and he sure as hell seems like an extremely kind and intelligent guy. Mick Foley was also a consumate professional, keeping an eye out for his opponants and not just himself. I remember at least one match where he realized he was about to collide with Chynna, which would have driven her head into the corner of the steel steps, the worst place to impact. In a fraction of a second, he cradled he head to protect it and took the blow himself, on the much easier to withstand 'flat' of the steps.
