I really enjoy your junkyard videos.. It is great to see what gear you guys have in the US compared to what we have in Australia… We have nothing cool like all the trucks you guys have

G’day mate.. I really enjoyed watching your wrecking Yard videos.. It is such an eye-opener to know what you guys have over there in the US.. Our wrecking yards in Australia don’t look anything like that.. We just have a whole lot of small four-cylinder sedans…

Don't you have a lot of diesels we don't get also? Or are they not as common?
@blindforcegarage57882 жыл бұрын
Yeah not really.. The only diesels that are worth talking about are out of our Toyota land cruiser 4x4 or Nissan patrol 4x4.. I some V8 diesel in the land cruises but never see them in a wrecking Yard… And it is near impossible to find a V8 petrol here at all… They only come out in our Commodores and they never hit the wrecking Yard any more... I had to import my LY6 from the US.. In the end it cost me $4700 Australian money to get it here just a short block no heads no accessories no sump just a bare short block pretty much crank rods and piston not even oil pump

I used to buy bucket seats $30. a pair at a u pull it yard in Oregon back in the day. It mattered not what it came out of. I still to this day have a pair in my '71 F250 highboy out of a '84 Buick.

I built a gantry out of scrap wood I've collected to Lyft a 62 Ford Fairlane to put it on a ranger frame.

You went to the junkyard without a tool bag? We may need to mark this down. Lol Just josh’n, I myself paid $2 to take a walk one day. Went back a couple days later with the tools I knew I needed, and snagged a few treasures.

I actually go without tools regularly, I walk the yards 1-2 times a week for fun

Just spent Monday at the pick-n-pull seat sale. Canibalized a 1988 sierra for its bench seat to fit my 49 chevy pickup. $16, super deal

Hello driveway. I was just watching your video on ls heads. 6.0 with 862 heads. The formula for compression. What’s up dude.
@TheDrivewayEngineer2 жыл бұрын
Cheaper than paying for an LQ9!
@theozman382 жыл бұрын
@@TheDrivewayEngineer. Ya you said you can get 862 heads for $50. Lol. Ya. 3 years ago maybe. If you get another hit like that hook me up. My 6.0 has the 317 heads thought maybe to get them milled to match the 862 compression. No just buy 862’s?? Thanks man.
@bjfrazier48952 жыл бұрын
@@theozman38 how much are specific length push rods?
@theozman382 жыл бұрын
@@bjfrazier4895 stock is 7.385. Most guys when upgrading get 7.400. Not a big deal for length change. But Milled heads?? I’d stay with stock length or get 7.350 or there abouts. 7.300?? You don’t want to jack up your rockers too high in the back from the pushrods cuz your rocker travel will diminish and then you’ll be bending pushrods or pulling on your stud mounts.
@TheDrivewayEngineer2 жыл бұрын
I can buy an entire 5.3 for 250 bucks today, take the heads, and sell the rest lol. Even if I paid 300 bucks for heads it's cheaper and easier than all the extra steps of milling stock heads
