Mam, I'm reading a book. I have doubt from these three sentences. Here had is helping verb. And other 'HAD' is main verb. Which is the word used in main verb instead of HAD? 1.my family had had a humble beginning. 2.she had had no knowledge of my alcoholic addiction. 3.she had had a troublesome marriage without true companionship and was still standing beside her husband.
