I bought the cocktail dress yesterday and got a size 24 as I normally buy tops in 22 or 24 and I'm a size 20 on the bottom. The size 24 swamped me and it was too long in the length and sleeves. So I measured a swing dress I've got and it fits me well and I returned the cocktail one. They didn't have any more in slightly smaller size but they did have one with gingerbread men on in a 20. I exchanged it and am happy to say it fits. My husband also got a polo shirt with a Christmas design. We didn't want jumpers as will probably be wearing them when visiting our daughter and grandchildren age 4 and 2 so don't want to be in a thick jumper when playing with them. Thank you again for doing what you do and your honesty on how you feel at the try ons. Xxx

Leopard print dress most flattering, I feel waisted dresses are not your best bet , I'm very much the same. Green definitely your colour and I think something empire line. I have similar problems with dresses as I'm 5ft 8 everything to short. I'm wearing jeans and a black top for Christmas day and my black boot. I'm an oap so going for comfort 😊

Oh Susan the first dress is stunning! All the other dresses look pretty too. The last one I agree on Christmas if you want to be comfortable and will be moving a lot don’t wear something that tight. But if you have other occasions it really is pretty on you!

I really love the leopard print dress on you. I like that pattern, and it can be worn at any time. As you lose weight you can add a black or brown belt, so it will give you lots of wear. You can comfortably enjoy Christmas and play with your grandchildren, whilst still looking great. Even if you decide its not for Christmas Day, its a definite keeper!

I loved the midi leopard print, short sleeve, tie neck dress. It looked very comfortable and I like that style anyway, paired with gold jewellery it would dress up nicely. I’m a bit luke warm about the rest…even the cocktail print. But I’m more forgiving with the last wrap dress. I would actually keep and wear that as a long kaftan/ kimono. I’ve a blue print wrap dress and it looks great with jeans 👖 too, so two outfits in one. Onwards! 🥰 thanks Susan 🙂

The leopard print with the tie front was my favourite of the dresses with the cocktail one coming a close second. I rather liked the look of the burgundy dress and I may order that for myself , and it might be worth your while getting a bigger size to try. As always an excellent video❤❤

I would try adding a nice gold belt to the short sleeve leopard print dress to see how that looks I like gold and leopard print together. I agree with the last persons comment about losing weight you can do it. After many many years of trying to lose weight at 64 I have finally lost 4 ½ stone this year and I feel amazing you would have a ball trying on all the clothes in your new size I know I am. I’ve been using the weight loss injection Mounjaro since June and it’s an absolute miracle drug in my opinion.

Hi Susan liked the leopard print dress with bows on the front but i would say it's a boxing day dress,, but it will be fine it you can't find a christmas dress still, maybe put a gold glittery thin cardy over it or even a red glittery thin cardy , or a shawl with golden threads / flecks as they will make it look more christmas day wear? what do you think is this helpful, ? have a lovely evening,x💕

I think it's nice to look good on Christmas day but you need to feel comfortable... you've tried lots of dresses, have you thought of an nice pair of trousers with maybe a sparkly top? There's nothing worse than having a larger meal than normal & feeling very uncomfortable for the rest of the day & trousers can be a great alternative

I've got the £12 dress for Christmas day but in the other pattern, gingerbread men and something else. I've been wearing it for the grandkids school Christmas plays too so I'll have had 5 wears out of mine lol. I might nip into Asda today to see if they have the cocktail one in my size, they do come up big though. I like the 1st dress on you but I don't think it's meant to be a bodycon dress, IMO, the belt/tie means it should be bloused over a little, more like you would wear a shirt dress. The Bet Lynch dress is a winner for you although I don't think it's quite Chrismassy enough. One more thing, don't say you will 'hopefully' lose some weight.... you WILL lose the weight.... As someone who, just like you are now, struggled for a fair few years whenever I had to find something to wear for a special occasion I can't tell you how amazing it feels to be able to have a real choice. I'm not bragging or smug or trying to diss you in any way but if I can do it, so can you 🥰

The design of the dresses could have worked but the cut was poor and the fabrics just weren't right. A problem I have had with George. Occasionally you pick up a gem but unfortunately when you are plus size and don't have a perfect body you can't get away with it. The green was a nice colour but I always find brown to be an unflattering colour as I am also blonde. I had a great chocolate suit but it looked OK because I added colour with a blouse. Try M & S as they have some lovely ruffle dresses and they don't skimp on the fabric. You will find something. Wendy
