We don't have proper heat OR sound insulation in our houses; I won't say we have some of the lowest new-build standards in Europe, because I couldn't back it up; but if any country's standards are lower than ours, they must be dire indeed.

Does anyone else think this series has been very watered down? Maybe particularly this episode. I think maybe they figure everyone is so hacked off wirh thr state of things they need to keep it a bit lighter. This episode to me felt very simple.

The Liberal Democrats face a very serious problem in that the news doesn’t care about them. The government gets in the news constantly, and the opposition is usually asked about it for balance. But the Lib Dems are third place, so they get no air time. However they have hit upon the strategy of doing something visually interesting that ensures they get a mention. Considering they won 72 MPs in the last election, up from 11 in 2019 (though they gained an extra 4 over the course of Parliament), it’s hard to argue with results. I’m sure they’d prefer a more dignified way to get attention, but they haven’t come up with one.
