In today's video I discuss Philadelphia Eagles Undrafted Free Agent, UDFA, Gabe Hall. I take a look back at Vic Fangio's defensive lines, and I discuss if he's a fit. Also, Is Gabe Hall the next Chris Jones?

I think Milton Williams is going to have a great season. He has always produced in his limited snaps. But he should have a bigger role with Cox retiring and he is going to breakout

I think Milton is going to produce in Fangio’s scheme too.

Milton's a good run defender, but he hasn't shown much in terms of pass rush yet. Hopefully he develops as a pass rusher. If not, the Eagles will probably let him walk next year.

Who knows what a whole works day would produce for Milton. He could be worse with more snaps. Never know. I hope he produces for us though

What’s up Unspoken! I don’t think there are many jobs or positions I would leave for. However, if something popped up on the personnel side of things for the Eagles, I would take it in a heart beat.

I'm still at a loss as to why Milton Williams doesn't get the attention and credit he deserves. He's a great D lineman and hopefully Fangio will get this line straightened out. It was a hell of a mess last half of last season.
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
What's up Frank! A lot of people are really enamored with the sack numbers, and while Milton gets pressure, he hasn't produced sacks yet. I got a feeling that's about to change under Fangio, and Milton will become a household name.

I’ve been saying it from when we picked up Gabe hall! Well explained gate! ✅👍🏾🦅🦅👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you are absolutely correct on his evaluation bro. I can see us developing him as a tweener , because we are kind of light at edge he could be that fourth but eventually in time possibly play the three technique as well an of course the four too. 🦅🦅🦅🦅

What’s up iShine! He’s the player I want to see during camp, in those joint practices, and preseason. He’s a really good fit for Fangio’s scheme.

As usual coach Job well done 👍🏾 Coach what about the new Dline coach the huge guy will his presence make an impact on the play of the Interior Line play
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
What’s up Drew! The new DLine coach is Clint Hurtt. He definitely looks the part. He is well regarded around the league, and he has some really talented players to work with this year. I know this line is very young, but this could be the most talented line Vic has ever worked with, and I would say this absolutely the most talented line Clint Hurtt coached.

Fletcher Cox was a right defensive end in Billy Davis defensive scheme. When chip was coach.
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
He did during the first year, 2013. With that said, Billy Davis is who switched Fletch over to the strong side, 2014-15. Ol’ Juan Castillo started him on the weak side in his defense. That was an interesting staff with Todd Bowles (DBs), Mike Caldwell(LBs), and Jim Washburn (DL) running his wide 9.

What’s up Dank! I created with Dall-E 3. I used a photo of me, and I gave it some direction in the dialogue box. It took some time to get it right, the first mock up had a Green Bay hat, 😂.

Hey Steve let me ask you do you really think that more is going to be the answer. Me personally I don't see it. And the reason why Jalen hurts. He is a RPO QB. I do not like when a team signs a guy and then wants to completely change them. And I don't believe that more is the guy that's going to get this kid over the top I really don't You can put all the talent in the world around him which they did I don't think he's going to do it they're not using him to his strengths. Jalen I think they should have made him run it back One more year before giving him this over the top contract. And now with Kelsey going I think he's going to be that much more lost. I want Jalen to win just as much as the next eagle fan but I am definitely being honest with myself. I no longer wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to the eagles. I think that's where we're going to get stuck we are going to get stuck because everybody thinks that more is the answer He's not honestly I don't even think he's a good coordinator. He had some good years in Dallas with a terrific offense. And then last year he wasn't good he was fired. I mean I don't think many people are thinking super bowl this year and if they are they need to come out of that delirious thinking because it's not going to happen yet they're not ready yet. There's not many RPO coaches out there we had one of them and what the only other good one out there Baltimore has. Sorry I don't mean to be a downer I just don't see it with Jalen I don't see us winning one with Jalen and more. If you look at 22 then look at 23 those two years were so different Jalen hurts one in the middle a lot in 22, 23 he had the lowest pass numbers to receivers in the middle last year by far the kid doesn't like the middle when he's in the pocket. I hope I'm wrong she's just how I feel thanks Steve I know this was long

Hey Catmando! I'm working on a video that explains Kellen Moore, his system, RPOs, Play Action Passes, and Read Option plays. Kellen's system is actually pretty RPO heavy. When I looked into the numbers, the Chargers only ran 7 fewer RPOs last season with Herbert and Sticks than the Eagles did with Jalen Hurts. However, there is another aspect to your question, which is really a front office down, or top-down approach to managing Jalen. That part we don't really know until they get on the field. I'll address it though in the video, and I'll use your question as the frame work for the topic.

G Hall was ranked 4th or 5th round pick... what happened? I like his game
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
I’m not too sure what caused teams to back off of him. He did get a reputation for being a little inconsistent. However, he had a really good senior bowl, and I was shocked he went undrafted.
@theoriginalkilox75924 ай бұрын
His tape looks good
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
He definitely has moments where you can see that frame disrupt. He had a really good senior bowl, and the Eagles love senior bowl surprises. However, he was accused of being a little inconsistent. I’m curious what Clint Hurtt can do with him.
@didierduplantier83594 ай бұрын
Why did he go undrafted then?
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
As a tweener, he doesn’t fit in every scheme. He has that old school, 3-4 end build to him. He’s a real good fit as a 4i, 4, or 5 technique. However, he has to show that he can be a consistent player as a 3 tech. Basically, he won’t be a fit for every team. Also, while he has some really good tape off the snap, he also has a lot of tape of him losing leverage and balance. When he flashed, he was among the best lineman in this draft. But, Baylor was just a bad team last year, and they became over reliant on him. That caused some very noticeable issues with consistency from snap to snap. He’s still very much a developmental guy with very intriguing 3-4 end traits. You gotta have faith in a Clint Hurtt type position coach to get the most out of this young man.
@didierduplantier83594 ай бұрын
@@CoachHeitter Thanks for the detailed answer, bud. Baylor did experiment some 3-4 front last season in some plays but I suppose they didn’t use him the right way. I did read some analyses that he was kind of hot and cold and wasn’t very consistent. What I can say is the dude looks like a beast and a mauler. I hope they can get the most out of him and our 3rd rounder, Hunt.

Who going make the team Big T Hall or free agency DT
@CoachHeitter4 ай бұрын
I think Marlon Tuipolutu, Moro Ojomo, and Gabe Hall will get an initial opportunity. It’s on those guys to keep the Eagles out of the free agency market.

What’s up 3 Card Monty! I believe he is a current free agent. Although, I wonder at his age if he returns, will it be a Ndamukong Suh and Linval Joseph situation? I could see him waiting until around the trade deadline, assessing who the contenders are, and then making a choice if he wants one last chance.
