you guys aren't asking the right question. how did they seal the rock around the gallium. they are bore holds with rock sealed around them. this would mean that ancients had a way to soften rock and then harden it again. That would prove that the rocks with no separation between them in those ruins, were poured.
@bigmacfullerton7870

*Hypothesis* Aztec where smelting a bunch of ore to get gold. In this ore was bauxite and zinc which has Gallium as a byproduct when smelted. As they mention when hot, it jumps around acting “weird”. When it cools down they end up with a shiny silver metal that is in liquid form. This would’ve been mind blowing and perceived as much more valuable than gold. They needed a container to hold it (maybe a disguise for transport) so they implanted into stone. This was their greatest treasure, it’s just not what they thought it’d be.

Why not just bore a horizontal hole at the lowest part of the cave system and just let the water drain out? Itd be cheaper that repeatedly calling in rat hole drillers. They seem to have some form of idea of what the cave system looks like. Tunnels are bored through hard rock all the time. Its definitely feasible to do and would give them plenty of access to their cave system

It’s very strange when you consider this stuff becomes liquid form at 86 degrees and it’s sitting in a cave out in the desert where temps get well over 100. One of the things that I wish current scientists and academics would STOP DOING is assuming that people that lived in prior millennia were technologically inferior to our current level. All one needs to do is look at how ancients worked stone, including lifting and moving it to see they had DIFFERENT technological knowledge…not LESS or INFERIOR. The Egyptians’ level of technology regarding sound was WAY beyond what we know now…they used it to diagnose (and possibly cure) medical issues; and the names of certain pyramids even give an insight to that practice. The bent pyramid’s ancient name actually means “2 frequencies”, referring to the number of resonances it vibrated at/was activated by. It’s also possible the Egyptians also used sound to generate light, something we are only beginning to gain a working knowledge of.

Notwithstanding the gallium is in itself a strange find, has anyone considered that it was stored inside the rocks, which had to be broken open to find the gallium, in what looks like drilled holes. I doubt the tools used by the Aztecs could have done that.
