I listen and enjoy the rest is politics, but also find their analysis incredibly limited, im a finance / economics professional, Alastair openly admits that’s not his thing, so Rory leads the statistical discussions but makes all the typical mistakes an amateur would. When it comes to very specific topics such as immigration, tax, economics etc it would help if they included experts in their discussions, otherwise they just end up spitballing misguided opinions but with huge influence!! Love your work, great video 🙏

Thank you! Yeah I think it's interersting how they manage to sound smart and on top of the material but as soon as its a topic where you REALLY know youre stuff you can see that they're just doing a lot of fudging and dont have the substance there all that much. I work in the asylum system (I'm legally not allowed to be specific) but I truly understand your frustration, and I really wish that Cooper would be more proactive and not matching to the drums of the daily mail. Annual costs of asylum hotels = approx 3 billion quid Annual government spending total = approx 1.2 trillion quid It’s really insignificant in terms financial and the number of people overall Other than that humanitarian problem impacting those involved directly, this topic shouldn’t even be on most peoples radar, it’s barely impacting anyone. The hype created by the media and politicians is pure culture war divide and rule stuff, but people fall for it, sad

For as long as we do not have any safe routes into the UK for migrants the small boat crossings will just continue . It's not a priority for this Labour government to stop the crossings as its only a small percentage of migration , besides they've tons more important issues to deal with . There's a lot more I can say in this issue but I do feel it's a non issue to begin with and is being exploited by populist politicians for their own gain .
