The best thing to do is use oil when picking the hair from the root. Vitamin e oil or olive oil and wash your hair with berry to increase natural luster.

Spray bottle with water and aloe vera juice mixed in and a few drops of rosemary oil. Then oil.... olive oil, glycerin (not too much), rosemary oil, and whatever scented oil you like. Shake well. Every few days: spray then oil

Leave in conditioner can be putin while your hair is wet but your hairs gonna dry while your picking it out too. What sucks is that after you rinse out the conditioner and THEN apply the leave in, it feels like you should pick again lol

Picking always works best when my hair is soaking wet and with conditioner in it. What sucks is that i always feel the need to re-pick after i wash it all out and apply some product because running that through my hair kinda messes up all my hard work.

Depends how short it is. When I chopped most of my hair off a few years ago I had maybe like two inches stretched on the crown of my head and like a fade on the sides. All I did that time was wear a scarf at night, and then when I woke up in the morning dampen it with water. Then I’d pick it out with a metal afro comb from ends to roots and just go out like that. Sometimes I’d curl it up with a sponge. When I showered I’d wet it even if I wasn’t washing it that day, and moisturise it once when I got out. When you have short hair, you don’t need to do too much - there’s less hair to get tangled. When my hair started getting a little longer I did pretty much the same thing, but I wore it shrunken until it was long enough to twist. + my curl pattern is 4b(ish) and my hair type is fine, if that helps.
