Understanding our identity is difficult. Even more for people with mixed origins. When Tetsuro Miyazaki was very young he discovered that in Japan he was "the foreigner", and in Belgium he was "the japanese". This became the subject and the object of one of his more international photography projects. Professional photographer, copywriter and creative concept developer. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

It is already a question indeed. And I think that what we eat on a daily or regular basis plays a large role in how we identify culturally. Knowing your way around a Japanese meal, understanding how to use chop sticks or which sounds to make and what is a no-go all plays a part in my opinion.

My answer would be, I am from many places and many experiecnes. Which in perticular are you interested to know more about? What fascinates you about me to ask this question? I am happy to share. Identities are not complex, nor are they something to waste a lot of time over. A lot of us now have global identites, and many of us are trying to get rid of parts of our identities because they no longer contribute anything positive to our lives. I see "identity" as a need that people have to fit into some sort of classification. For some of us it is no more than clothes that fit us once and may no longer fit.
