In Island wird seit Jahrhunderten Brot in kochendem Wasser von unterirdischen Wärmequellen gemacht. Allerdings legt man den Teig nicht einfach so ins Wasser sondern in einem Topf oder einer gebrauchten Milchtüte. Nach 24 Stunden ist das lavabröd fertig und schmeckt himmlisch.
