Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is an incredibly under rated John C. Riley movie. It's a music bio-drama parody and is hilarious! I'm pretty sure the Applebee's commercial was a real commercial that aired around 2006/7.

I was a little 10 year old redneck growing up in a small town in Alabama when this movie came out. I can still remember watching it for the first time with my dad, one of our favorite movies ever. That's how you know it's good, because the people it's making fun of might even love it the most.

This came out the year my husband and I started dating. We cried laughing in the theater. One of the funniest movies from then. The other one we laughed at was Benchwarmers. I highly suggest you watch Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. It’s all John C Reilly, and it’s just as “laugh out loud” funny. And, for some more Will Ferrell, Old School. Will is in top form. I can’t remember if you’ve done Anchorman. After that one, to me, comes this one. Anchorman is Will at his very finest. 😂😂😂 If you haven’t, YOU MUST. If you have, watch it again just because 😂😂😂😂 Shake N Bake!!! 😎😂😂😂

Fun fact when he runs around acting like he's on fire they actually base that off of a real event. The fuel that they burned had no color when it was on fire, lit up a whole pit crew I believe and they were running around just like that but you could not see the flames

Scary fact: methanol fires can be completely invisible (especially in the daylight) and it doesn't produce any smoke either. Back in 1981 there was a fire that happened, at a pit stop in the Indy 500. They didn't have the refueling hose fully connected, before it started pumping. It sprayed fuel all over the driver, Rick Mears' torso, along with some of the other nearby mechanics, and caught fire once it made contact with the hot engine. Except nobody could see the fire, they only knew it was there because people were panicking and fleeing the scene. Rick jumped out and ran over to the pit wall, where a safety worker tried to help him take off his helmet, but ends up catching that person on fire. Being unable to breath because his whole upper body is on fire, and the air would instantly burn his lungs, Rick jumps over the pit wall and runs up to someone with a fire extinguisher. That person, while trying to spray him down with the extinguisher, now ALSO catches on fire, he drops it, and starts to flee in panic as well. Finally his dad Bill Mears (after having already pulled Rick's wife aside to safety) got over to him and extinguished the fire. 5 people went to the hospital and Rick had to get a new nose.

i think the last great offensive comedy was Hot Tub Time Machine (2012?) had no idea it was such a perfect movie. also This Is The End (2013) was the last good comedy and I haven't seen anything reach those heights since. don't get me wrong, Animal House 1978 is fantastic, but I'm just going by "most recently you were allowed to make mean-spirited jokes"

Also, you should watch the movie "Highlander" that was mentioned in this movie. Another good one that has one of the best looking practical effects dragons to ever grace the movie screen is "Dragonslayer".
