I’m a Pacific Islander from a tiny island in Micronesia in the western Caroline island called Yap. Although, Fiji is enormous and culturally different compared to my tiny island, I enjoy all your videos as they remind me of my home island. The local food, lifestyle, people, farming, the red dirt, and just the simple village life brings me a sense of nostalgia. Thank you for filming your village life and sharing it to the world. Oh, so that is the " Sivaromaca" That's my favorite vakalolo. I thought they use dalo only. Now, I know that we can combine dalo and cassava. That is called the " dari ni vakalolo" We had one in my childhood home growing up.

That is not VAKALOLO. It’s called SIVAROMACA. VAKALOLO is made from Caramelised coconut milk whereas SIVAROMACA is from grated coconut flesh.
