@@lizaroedewaller-bridge407 I just did that myself. Apparently, the white light Queen Numbi entered came from a spaceship, and she met the occupants. They cured her of her illness and old age, and she returned to her tribe and ruled for a long time thereafter.

Thanks for another wonderful video of Thor's group, otherwise known as the group of white lions 🦁 The silhouette of the queen Neije on top of the rocks was amazingly beautiful, just like the story you shared with us today. Why do we humans are drawn to the white lions so much, really? Yes, they are beautiful. Yes, they are rare. But there must be something else that attracts our attention and makes us fall in love with them...! Looking at Thor and Charly, as well as Neije, makes my heart skips a beat, and mesmerized by simply watching them whatever they are doing. These boys' gorgeous manes shine in the bright morning sun light and induce our hearts wanting to watch them longer. It is truly just awe-inspiring magical moments... whenever we see white lions. One of the biggest parts of the reasons why we're drawn to love and want to see white lions is because of the rare sightings in general. Especially in wilderness of vast African land, it must be much harder to find white lions compared to the regular tawny ones. Now, thanks to all of your intelligence, we all know it's mare recessive genes among all the lions, therefore it's rare, but not magic nor impossible to appear. Yet, still I can't deny the significance of sightings of white lions, and I must say we all agree that we just can't get enough of watching white lions any chance we get!

Another superb video Kevin. I've turned my entire family including my wife, two sons, and grandchildren onto your fantastic channel. My 9 year old grandson has been fascinated by sharks for 3-4 years and recently began talking about studying sharks as a scientist when he grows up. Poor Charlie, he is always being put in his place. He can't even say hi to the lioness when she approaches him. I feel for him, even though I know this is animal lore, and the lovely Thor is just doing his duty (which must be exhausting, with its constant application to the pride). Gorgeous Winter's morning - the lions seem to be thrilled and energised by it. Great to see them running about like cubs.

Decades ago when I was in college, I spent a summer working for an anthropologist who studied oral history. I had been raised by storytellers and had read outside the Greek/Roman myths, but she opened me to so many other with cultures the original recordings and transcriptions I helped catalogue. I nearly switched to anthropology from my first loves politics and human behavior. White animals were sacred to many indigenous people in North America, as well as all over the world. You brought back some very dear memories. Thank you.

Kevin, I think this has to be one of your best videos yet. It was truly magical - from the lioness silhouetted on the rock against that beautiful highveld winter sun (awesome!🦁) to the other-wordly legend of Queen Numbi and the star lion. I had absolutely no idea about this and it was so interesting to hear. (I love the way you told the story and with that music in the background, I felt transported, as if I was really there ❤🦁💫). I have an old book The White Lions of Timbavati that I read all the time as a kid. Also a couple of books by Joy Adamson about a cheetah named Pippa and a lioness named Elsa. I still have them, maybe I should read them again.

Folk lore and myths are interesting as they show an insight into the culture of people in a local area. I do wonder if white lion story has any relation to astrological events such as the passing of Hale Bopp or a super nova that other cultures had noticed at the same time.

Kevin, it must be hard work sometimes, to keep on top of all the life-enhancing activities for the animals, as well as all the necessary jobs you have to keep up with. I know it is also a privilege and a joy to be with the animals, but it is still long hours, and energetic activities.
