The Factory comes in Yeshwanthapura Locality of Bangalore. During that time it was known as MYSORE STATE. ... That is how it got its name as MYSORE. In 1972, MYSORE STATE was Renamed as KARNATAKA STATE.

At the process where the soap bars are moulded (soap shape is formed - 9.00 to 9.13), it is seen there is an excess of soap after the oval soap is formed... I am sure this excess is added back to the previous stage to mould again. I would suggest a small tweak or redesign by the engineering department to reduce or eliminate the excess to less than 1% and avoid any reprocess... Why? Because, you can save on cost here. If a cost analysis on the excess portion is calculated, it will be an eye opener... Hope this reaches the Mysore Sandal Soap decision makers to make a small calculation of the overheads at this stage! Good video & I am on my way to buy one Mysore Sandal soap from one of the Indian Stores this week! Cheers from Toronto, Canada.

In the shaping and stamping process, the soap needs to be a bit excessive to fill up the dye press adequately. In clearer videos in some factory, you will notice a conveyor transporting the soap excess back into the plodder/extruder.

OH WOW...when 0:08 peeled onto the screen and I clocked that glorious Indian landscaping and heard the ambient background sound I could literally feel the air and remember holiday memories. My observations: 1. Automation is required at initial stages. And at end stages. 2. Shockingly, no one is seen wearing any safety helmets or any other gear. 3. Workers are seen wearing casual dresses. Some of them seems to came only for this shoot. Presumably union leaders? 4. After punching the soap in oval shape good amounts of soap is left over. What do they do ?

D. Viswanathan when you use costic soda and make it in to lye it is dangerous, you can be blind if it gets in your eyes. You have to wear safety goggles, gloves, and when you make lye the lye gives off toxic smells. So you are correct no safety is being observed
