Im a bit late to the party, but I bought it and my squares come out to be about 6 inches by 6 inches. Im going to need/use 10 skeins of the Amethyst colorway in order to make a twin sized blanket. I hope my unsolicited measurements help you figure out how many skeins you need if you haven't started yet ♥♥♥

@@themightyboots2436 thanks for that! I have it, and I mean maybe it’s the skeins I got, but the yarn doesn’t change as specifically as I want to, I ultimately decided on making a granny cocoon cardigan, but maybe I might try it again with a different color pattern

@@packnetadaija I do have to do a lot of pulling out and tightening and loosening. I use a 6 mm (J) hook to make my squares. I chain 5 and make a loop instead of a magic circle, don't chain between clusters, and put 3 chains at each corner ❤️

i love read heart, and i think granny squares are something ive never tried mainly because changing colors is so difficult and can get annoying! I actually saw it at Joanns the other day. PS. that granny square is stunning!

The other thing you have to focus on is your tension because if it's not the right tension you have to frog it

... besides your warnings, Holly... I got 3 skeins of the granny square yarn... for 20 bucks on eBay. I thought that was a great deal... idk... I didn't price it. The only thing I don’t like abt it is when the colors are off so you have one double crochet of the next color in the round

Yeah it’s great 🙄 😅 once you figure out the proper hook size and readjust the tension it took you forever to perfect!! lol but I do really like it all things considered.

Hello! I'm a begginer crocheting and I've been crocheting granny squares lastly, but I don't know why the Round 1, the one that is a kind of cross, looks asimetric and ugly. The pattern that I've learnt is chain 6, slip stich in 1st chain, chain 3, double crochet, double crochet ( chain 3, 2 double crochets) x 3. Does anyone know why? tysm :)
