Haven Riviera Cancun

Our trip was April 10-16, 2021. We had the most amazing time and can’t recommend this resort enough!! We stayed in room 5002 and it was perfect.

Looks awesome! Did you have an ocean front swim out? Was there any way for you to get drinks when you were at the swim out?

Yes, room 5002. They would bring us drinks, but they were few and far between. Being on the total end of the resort I’m sure had something to do with it. People in building 4 definitely had the best service when it came to getting drinks to their swim outs. Some rooms are just easier to get to than others.

How was the room service food? How was the temperature for the swim out pool?

Room service food was hit or miss. During the day, it was good… late at night.. not so much. The temp of the pool was great. At night it was too cold to get in, but during the day it was perfect.

Did you use the Amstar DMC shuttle to get from the airport to the resort?

Every room that doesn’t have a swim out has a hot tub I believe.

Canadian residents will have pay 150 US$ for PCR test and resort will not guarantee that the test can be given 72 hours before flight to go back to Canada. I will not risk it.

Do they have covid testing on site, what’s the process

Yes, they have Covid testing. You have to schedule your test through a QR code on your tv. You put in your return flight information so they know when you’re test should be. All of the testing is done in one room. You line up and you must have your passport. You get a rapid test done and your results are given to you at that time.

All food and drinks are free. Upgrades cost more, like spa services or bottles of wine. But of course tipping it much appreciated for every drink/meal, so that isn’t “free!” Enjoy your trip.. I can’t wait to go back.

Not going to Mexico, but to get back to the states we did.
