I'm from Iowa but went down to Destin, Florida and was shore fishing with some shrimp on the bottom and I casted out my bait, set it up and before I could turn around and sit down I had a huge redfish on my line. I had heavy gear but took me about 5-7 minutes to get him in cause I was worried he'd break the line. Got so lucky, must of thrown it right in his face

Sup Thresher, where at do you like to fish? I was down there last Saturday, bad day to fish, super windy and current too strong. I caught a tan thats about it other than a few hardheads and a crab. My shrimp kept getting stolen off my hooks, maybe i rigged it wrong. I had to use 4-6oz weights to keep my line in place a nd just couldnt feel anything. Is it better to use a branched leadline or hook above weight in-line? I am kinda new to salt water and want to have successful days like yours. Thanks in advance.
