I am now getting a lot of information from your podcasts, and I feel very comfortable listening!!! Thank you. Soon I am getting blood work checking everything including testosterone levels. I am very healthy, and want to continue being healthy. Thank you for changing my attitude, and all the good info!!!!

The best soulmate and lover I ever experienced, physically, intellectually and emotionally was a Korean born woman adoptee from California and 13 years younger. She was 42, I was 55....it was intense Once we made love 9x in 18 hours. Finally I had to stop from soreness. If you have that connection never let it go whether you're a man or woman. It's really, really special.... Biggest regret of my life was not being a better man for her.

Once I started taking testosterone therapy, i was much more sexually active with my wife and we are in are early 60s. She believes that having regular sex life helps out her hormonal and vaginal health. And it is as good as it used to be when she was in her late 20s. When we were not having much sex in our 50s, it was because i was on anti depressants when i should have been on testosterone therapy, which allowed me to get off depression medication and get my sex life back. Intimacy is the best medicine for our mind, body, and soul and also helps to keep the vagina and the penis healthy and lubricated naturally. I have never taken viagra or any other pill to get an erection and have always been able to get erections naturally because my wife turns me on and visa versa.

Instead of policing other people's speech on a video about how men can support women during menopause, think and write about how you can support your wife when she begins menopause. That would be more appropriate instead of your gender specific language comment which has no place in a video about an underreported understudied medical condition.

this is a very interesting discussion that you had here and thankfully, you were able to get it out there. I am curious though why do we want to delay the menopause in a woman isn’t it just a normal chronological thing that happens to women what is the significance or what is the desire on the medical community to want to delay it? That’s my question, since it’s a natural thing to go through isn’t it better to just let it come but be aware of what the symptoms are and then be ahead of those symptoms?

I suggested it and was almost killed by her for even trying to talk about her health and healthcare. So fast forward 10+/- years and she was mood swinging left and right hot flashes joint pain basically everything on the perimenopause/menapause checklist. We were all walking on eggshells in our house. I finally broke down and demanded she ask for HRT. Her primary would brush her off the “cancer” risk . So she came home with estradiol gel. And gabapentin for hot flashes. And a script for Paxil. Now there’s a whole new set of problems. I said maybe you need testosterone or something. Have you had your like whole set of hormones checked? She says yeah but I’m not sure. I told her I simple hormone thing can change your life. Depressing situation

The cysts are super painful too, I can barely walk sometimes. I’m seeing the obgyn specialist next week so hopefully she decides to go in and take them out bc I’ll have had them for over a year in August and they’ve gotten a little bigger and 1 of them is irregular in shape. It’s just super frustrating bc I already went through female problems when I was 17-22. I just hope it’s not cancer but I honestly just want to feel better. I have every single symptom that you’ve mentioned except my sex drive has done the opposite and now I want sex often for the first time in my life but I’m in so much pain that I don’t want to engage. This is such a frustrating time in my life, I feel like I’m going crazy sometimes and I can’t make decisions for anything bc I can’t think and I’m so lethargic that I don’t even want to leave my house.

Would you mind if I post the link to this video? I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything but man it really sucks big pharma has taken over and whatever makes the most money that's what they tell the doctors to prescribe. Happens to men and women but you imagine as a woman you have some depression lack of libido your tired and instead of running in blood work they just describe you an SSRI. Which they do that to men also, then they wonder why people have no more libido because SSRI kills it, you become numb to everything and they consider that a success the doctors do. Is there a plan just to make old men and women miserable? Don't worry we have an antidepressant for that and then everybody becomes one big numb universe?

Life has different levels and it will come a time for each on,is inevitable. That being said if you r strong and healthy live your life to the fullest.Having a sexles marriage is not one of them, when the time comes sure with age it will change and you will adapt and sex will move to 2nd or 3rd place.till that moment comes which now a days it happens after your 55s don’t settle don’t make excuses, don’t try to make it ok. There’s all types of help and ways to make it better, always. The truth is it takes 2 people To be on the same page and want the same things.Enjoy and keep loving your partner to the end. This doesn’t mean that you go around sleeping with strangers and get a STD or HIV. It means to make decisions and make sure that the person next to you is 💯 to ride or die if not then get someone that will and In the process will love and enjoy the different levels of life with you. Everything else is BS all the excuses and trying to make it sound deep and emotional is BS the day the clock ⏰ stop Your done and there’s no going back so stay healthy smile and love yourself and your significant other freely and truly.

It would be wonderful to focus a bunch on diet and lifestyle for menopausal symptoms. There have been studies done by the Physicians Committee for responsible medicine - Dr Neil Barnard- which show that the consumption of soy beans on a daily basis had positive effects on several symptoms experienced by women. I am plant based animal free (vegan) and have not experienced all of the symptoms many women discuss. I truly believe my diet has a lot to do with this. Just something to think about.. I don’t take any meds or hormones at all, have a very active sex life with my boyfriend etc.

As a man I have always researched and asked about menstrual cycles and menopause so I can better understand my partner and how they feel and function so I can hope to better support and flow with them, interesting point though is with all of my ex parents I have been able to tell what point they are in and even been able to say that they will be early or late and even pregnant just by the changes in their smell as their pheromones change. I am very driven by smell and energy when it comes to my partners.

I have a suspicion that while a woman will go to the doctor when symptoms begin and she knows something is wrong, a man will put off the visit until a condition is advanced. As a male who is hyper-vigilant about my wellbeing, I was told a very serious illness was all in my head for weeks until only after great frustration and pressuribg my doctor, did she order the tests which proved it was real.

one thing about this menopause revolution people don't seem to remember is some of us women don't have our uterus anymore. I had a hysterectomy in my early thirties. To say oh ya its probably menopause or peri because my periods are irregular or starting to disappear. I haven't had a period for so long now. its like how do you know. I just guessed and started treating myself as if I was in peri menopause. I started estrogen and felt better but now 2 yrs into taking estradiol I feel like my symptoms are returning. So was I wrong.

Im at a loss to understand all this - the only thing we had to consider was no longer needing a IUD. That was about 20 +years ago. As usual, this morning at about 3AM I get a back massage encouraging me to turn around and give her her attention - this is at least 3 times a week if she is not sleeping from being exhausted from a long work day -

Question, does she has addiction to adult content? Are her older family members, mother maybe, still very active or have fetish conversations with your wife during girl talk that you know of? I only ask, because my sister is late 40s, always talks about crazy things, my mother gets very comfortable and personal trying to live fetish through us. I realize maybe our drives are genetic but I have seen it as a problem in my life. Which I do think it is.

The one subject no one likes to discuss (other than me), is life span vs quality life time. Rather see a female die at 70 having had a wonderful crazy fun life from age 30 to 70 (die with a smile, strong, hard body, dancing and enjoying life) than live in a box or a wheelchair but live to 95. Why? Who wants a long boring and unsatisfactory life with someone changing your diapers? Live life, enjoy life. And then check out early and happy. I tell older men the same. Live life, be happy. Don't worry about life span worry about daily life quality.

My experience is that a lot of women become very defensive about this topic. And they would rather blame the husband for wanting too much intimacy and "only thinking about sex" (even if they actually just want intimacy once a week or month). It is rare that a woman would be open to a lot of this. I know a guy who decided that fighting over sex is not worth it. So he started using substances to suppress his own libido. Not surprising at all: his wife was upset because he wasn't showing "interest in her". Anyways, he didn't stop using it, as he knew it would just be the same if he went back to "normal".
