We are about 800 active Horde players left in Heartstriker and three of us are balance druids. These three owls are constantly fighting over the roof of the bank in Orgrimmar. One of them is in our raid and we are thinking about giving him Sulfuron so that he can rightfuly claim his birthright over the others and own the roof.

We are ~110 players left on hordeside heartsteiker and the other two owls left long ago, probably because they realized that they dont stand a chance against our owl^^. The eye of Sulfuras still didnt drop but, if it ever should our owl shall get it. A happy ending all in all.

@@jaredgarden2455 When do you ever find 3% hit redundant? You can always take advantage of it by swapping gear around. Have two setups, one that gives you max hit% with the buff, and one that gives you max hit% without the buff. Boomkins don't just bring one buff either. Moonkin form gives everyone 5% spell crit. Insect swarm is basically like a 2% dodge or parry bonus to whoever is tanking, which is pretty sweet. They also have innervate, and a battle res. Mark of the wild too ofc. If anyone has their head up their ass.........

Except enhancement shamans put up more consistent and competitive numbers than balance druids. xD Source: I held the #2 (in the world) spot on enhancement DPS for quite a while before I quit playing and I know exactly what we're capable of and what it takes to perform as enhancement. In fact, back when you wrote this comment, I was still holding that #2 spot and was one of the top dps in my guild. :)

@@Might_T Well, critical strike rating is extremely important for us to have. If we aren't fully world buffed, we won't be doing the best damage ever. If you were to take a fully buffed enhancement shaman in the best gear available, he will be able to compete with all other classes who also have the best gear available and are fully world buffed. But if you take away world buffs (i.e. a huge amount of our crit rating), we will not be able to compete, while the other classes don't take too hard of a hit in terms of dps when they lose theirs. So what we end up having to do is have a second set of gear with as much critical strike rating as we can get in order to make up for the deficit so we can have a higher average. So basically, a shaman will not be able to contribute if your guild is doing progression for a raid if you're wiping on early bosses. There are a some other problems with enhancement dps, but that is probably the biggest one if your guild isn't trying to make you do shit that's going to lower your dps exponentially, like make you drop Windfury Totem or twist or make you use Nightfall.

@@jacobkeller1000 While fully world buffed, you are a real dps. In my guild, I was usually top 1-5 dps on most fights. Most shamans are capable of the same thing still if they just knew what they were doing. You literally need full consumables in order to compete for top 5, but most shamans are just too lazy or don't know that they need them.

@@cheetoh3149 it's classic, it's not all that hard. He off heals if we're down a healer for the night, but we let people play how they want to play. We also have a ret in the raid, but he's been healing as of late since we lost a pally to wife aggro.

Enhancement ain't that bad tbh. certainly nowhere near balance/retribution levels of bad. the numbers are actually decent if you get the right gear and once blizzard fixes improved WF totem there'll be an actual reason to want enhancement shamans over elemental/resto as they don't bring 15% extra attack power for their WF totems. however, without worldbuffs and gear, enhancement falls behind, and they fall behind fast. my dps numbers is pretty consistently around 500-800 depending on the RNG gods. not able to push 1.2k like warriors do, but not everyone can have perfect gear options, recklessness, death wish, dual wield, a rage bar and actually useful melee abilities that aren't on a 20 second cooldown along with a WF totem permanently shoved up their rear, lest they start yelling. but that honestly have more to do with warriors just being completely broken rather then enhancement shaman being unviable. i have no problem competing with most of the other pure dps classes, im actually only being outdone by very geared rogues and mages, for the most part, as they also have the ability to push their dps to the 4 digit numbers.

Me - resto shaman - boomkin and our 3 top mages. 3% crit gets those ignites rolling, mana tide is there for emergencies and tranq totem lets them go to town. Bosses melt. MT group on progression is warrior-bear-SP-lock for imp-enh shaman. Classic isn't hard, you can do both fun and viable combos.
