growing up i had a pretty bad sense of direction just cause i felt like i never needed to know. even after getting my driver's license i just used landmarks and didn't really know street names. it wasn't until i lived on my own in a major city where i really learned how to navigate. there would be days where i would purposefully walk around my area just to get familiar with what direction i was going in and what places were around me. discovered a lot of good food places that way.

I have the worst sense of direction everrrrrrrr. I lived in a city for 5 years and still STILL got lost almost every time I walk alone 🤦♀️🤦♀️ and no I don't enjoy the adventure, I'm just always anxious 🤣🤣

I do believe that was the silhouette of the Forest Spirit from Princess Mononoke towards the beginning where the illustration of him says lost again.

The trick to going backwards is to memorize something in your surrounding that stands out every time you make a turn (building, street name, some weird looking shit, etc.) but yeah there is a limit to what you can remember if a considerable amount of time passed
