SERIOUSLY? In London, living on 30,000 a year as a single person is a breeeze. Obviously it's not the highest salary, but it's more than enough to live decently. I'm SHOOK! 😳😳

@@leahmcdermott4189 New York City (not the actual state, the city of course) is in high demand for living space. It's expensive due to it being a consumer city, it's basically a distopia with a gilded outward appearance. I personally wouldn't want to live in a big city like that.

$30K in New York City is not tough. It's impossible even for a single. I live in the equally expensive neighbor city. $50K salary is minimum to survive. Hence is the reason why he racked up so much credit card debt.

Last time I saved money I was 6 years old living with a single working mom and she gave me an allowance which was my savings , but I had to do yard work, clean out gutters, and clean house! As an adult that's not possible! YOU have to be a worker and a spender as an adult at the same time and make the world turn!

Dave if you have a limited income (like social security) and trying to move to another state, because financially you would be able to live better and save more money - how would you do this with having a house full of furniture etc....?

Biggest waste of money is having children. If you don't have children don't have children unless you really want them. Right now I currently live in a van not because I'm homeless but because I choose not to be someone else's money maker. I work a 9to5 job and I only make 23k a year. I don't have a mortgage I don't have water I don't have power bills I don't have any debt I don't have a credit score and I don't have a car payment and I will be able to retire before I'm 40.

I have a question for mr Ramsey and the people in the comment section… I’m currently saving for college and it’s going to be roughly 3800 a year out of pocket I currently have around enough to pay for the year but would like to cover as much as I can… I however like things and tend to spend about 20% of my income on such things and the rest of the % is split between necessities such as gas oil and insurance I work in fast food and roughly make 1500)$ a month so roughly 200 is going to needs around 300-500 every two weeks so we will say 600-1000 every month is going to savings and the rest is going to necessities and I feel guilty for spending that 200$ a month on cool things what do y’all think
