Agreed, that's one of the first things that really stood out to me about Time is Up, which is the first album of theirs I listened to. Crunchy guitars that aren't thin, audible bass, nothing too loud, good low end without being muddy...perfect.

But if you really think about it, where would Metallica be had Cliff not played for them, or how would Death's Individual Thought Patterns sound without Steve DiGiorgio's fretless work. The last band I was in, titled Cryptosis, played an outdoor festival called "Farmageddon" a little ways outside of Edmonton Alberta, and we had the distinct honour and pleasure of opening for Havok. It was a f***ing amazing show and the absolute best time!! Super cool and down to earth dudes, and put on a ridiculously great live show!!
