@ 9:26 in the manual it indicates that the top points should should be the same height/level. Also the concealed center hinges need to be redesigned. I’ve been installing these units for years and the teeth always strip out when adjusting for the reveal/between the bi folds with the pozzi drive, especially on the hinges that connect to the vertical upright.

How much difference does the optional lower guide rail make? What factors would you consider when deciding if you should add this or not?

the lower guide rail create stability of the door when the two folding door closes. Normally for a cabinet system we would recommend to use it. however cabinet is a walk in version and there is no structure for you to install the lower guide rail then we will recommed to use our centering magnet for the cabinet door to align when the door closes.
