Hawa Mahal and Johri Bazar at Night in Jaipur, Rajasthan

After exploring the Albert Hall Museum and Bapu Bazar in the previous video, we continued our journey. Our next stop was Johri Bazar in the “Pink City” of Jaipur. (Although, it’s not actually pink-it’s more of an orange-red hue thingy.) Johri Bazar has historical significance as the place where people used to throw jewellery at Sawai Jai Singh-not to harm him, but as a tradition.
One of the most intriguing sights in this market was a shop shutter secured with a whopping 10 locks! (Don't try to find it online, 'cause it's temporary!)
Then we walked a few more steps-actually, many more steps-and saw… drumroll, please… Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, for the first time…actually, for our first time. It was decorated with lights and plants because the Prime Minister of India would give a tour of Jaipur to the President of France the next day. Otherwise, well, at least the plants won’t be there, I suppose. Anyway, we were enjoying ourselves until the thought of returning to our ‘shelter,’ which humans call a hotel, a little distance away from our location, crossed our minds.
So, just like every other thing in the Universe, our little night walk also ended. But fear not, more adventures await us the next day.
…BUT… someone inside the metro told us that tomorrow… well, many of the main destinations will remain closed. Guess why?
