Not a fair comparison. The original set a high bar.....a very high bar, but the reboot met that high bar and went beyond. The new Kono.......pure genius. The new Steve Mcgarrett a Navy Seal. The current Danno, what a back story. Both shows are classics.

@@Buildsolarhomes That may be true but you overlooked one vital thing. It's the following: 1. There is only one Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams. Both were played by Jack Lord and James MacArthur respectfully. 2. The orginial version, from 1968 to 1980, reached the highest expectations of the world in sense of how many viewers were watching this program, Hawaii 5 0. 3. The fame that this series got was thanks to a lot of hard work dedicated by these actors. 4. The revised version did not even get what the orginial version got. I saw every single episode of Hawaii 5 0 both the original version and the reboot version and honestly speaking I do prefer the orginial version. I do welcome only positive comments over here. Thank you.

Episode title was "The Banzai Pipeline" which is a surfing area on the North Shore of O'ahu but had to laugh cause not one scene was set on the North Shore. All the filming sites were in the Hawaii Kai- Kalama Valley area in East Honolulu.

Jack Lord Really an Irishman, real last name Ryan. Is great at doing anger scenes, but not good at 'weeping ' sad scenes compared to Veronica Cartright. McGarrett always has to appear cool and what a sexy dude. Danno more my speed!! Love the Show!

@travisjohnson6676 Exactly. Apparently, this was a prelude to the TV series Las Vegas, where they would review video and then "push in" (their words for "zoom in") on the pupil of someone across the room so they could see the mirror reflection of someone else they were looking at. 😅😅😂
