Epic day fishing! Glad to see your venturing new method of fishing, Ono kind bottom fish! Taking on water! I have an idea that might help you siphon out water from the back of you kayak. By building a pvc fitting through your rear hatch. Inside pvc goes to the bottom. Outside pvc attached to a flex hose the goes under your seat with a cap. When you take on water just connect you siphon pump to the flex hose and pump the water out. Just an idea. Lmk if you want more details I can share. Keep up your great videos! ALOHA

Mahalos braddah! It's really fun exploring new grounds and learning a new fishery. These bottom fish are definitely in a different league taste-wise too! I do appreciate any suggestions to help keep the kayak afloat. Would the system you use still let me lay my fishbag flat on the back?

“Would the system you use be in the way of your fish bag”? Depends on how you build it. The system is being taken from sailboat which has a building bilge hand pump, all they do is pump the water by hand. Your through hull does have to come from the rear hatch. It could come from the mid hatch or from near your seat. I would love to take a look at your boat to see how best to fit your bilge pump. I’m at volcano and meet anywhere even at the harbor after one of your fishing trip. Just lmk. ALOHA
