Wow the beach on the big island is gorgeous! We went to Hawaii last year, Oahu, have missed it ever since. That is very creative way to go finishing, crafting your own pole, cool! Apparently it’s a lot sunnier in the summer! Kauai is also pretty rainy btw! So if you visit Hawaii, bring your umbrellas!! Lolol

We went to the big island last summer and Kuaiai. those loco mocos look good. We went to the volcano national park. we have lots of great pictures from there. it gets cold up there. the lava tube was cool. we went with a tour though. happy easter

Was the water warm as you guys snorkeled?

The water was pretty warm. Like 75 to 80 degrees probably. It was even warmer when we were there in the summer. Swimming in the ocean in Hawaii is tricky because a lot of times the waves are really strong. The waves also pull you out as they retract and it can be kind of scary. But little alcoves like the one we were at are perfect for swimming!
